Update glitch
I've noticed this multiple times. It seems like everytime there is an update, whether it be the game itself or the mod, the creatures stop spawning/are reverted to their original spawn rates. It seems to be fixable by creating a new campaign but it gets a bit tiring to revert all the progress you make all the time.

never play an old updated campaign, there are risks like this every time
