Question: Our crew has had a number of random run-ins with killer Clowns. I think it is from this mod because they were using weapons from the mod. Has it happened to anyone else and does anyone know if it is ties to the fact one of our crew is a Clown or is it that we have just gotten very 'lucky' seeing so many chainsaw wielding Clowns?

I'm not using the creature pack. Barotraumatic goes from my enabled mods straight to disabled from launch, and it refuses to fix after a reinstall.

Barotraumatic is merged with the creature pack, don't use the creature pack. Its one mod now.

I had issues getting the mod to update. Red highlighted text and whatnot. Force reinstalling followed by closing/reopening the game fixes it sporadically for me, so I'll take this as a workaround for now.

You are trying to load the Creature Pack, Its not longer required as the mod has been completely merged into one thing.

The Creature Pack is no longer needed as it is part of the file.

I updated the mod to a new version and it's highlighted in red and gives me an error when I try to launch it. Reinstalling the mod and the game doesn't help, and I don't know how to fix it.

Updated today, 8.17.25. The update removed all the headsets from crafting and removed the ones we were wearing from the entire crew.

People were using one without the other and contacting me trying to figure out why it wouldn't work or people in the community would go on a server and lie to hosts and tell them problem they were having with too many mods or other unrelated issue was from Barotraumatic Creature Pack and Barotraumatic works on its own when you needed both mods. The whole point of having multiple front ends was so You could run Barotraumatic or Nightmare/Explorer but Explorer hasn't been updated in years and Nightmare is a pain to keep current with each update to Barotraumatic. It was also pretty much just used by people to brag they could play with it on even when it got to the point of being nearly unplayable and maintaining it was not worth it since Barotraumatic had been heavily refined by this point.

BAROTRAUMATIC is now MERGED with the Creature Pack, Do not use Barotraumatic Creature Pack along with this, it will not load and I will not troubleshoot this issue and will be deleting any comments about failure to adapt to the merger instructions.

The problem with headset issues is this happens in Vanilla all the time, except since players almost never change headsets and you only craft or very rarely buy them it doesn't show up.

We used to have them spawn in lockers as loot to use/breakdown but that was before the Player Team and Team 2 split was implemented

Welcome to Barotrauma, so what is happening is its assigning the wrong team to the headset tags. Headsets work off a super basic wifcomponent system where when you talk or try to do something it checks your distance from each other and adds static/garble.

When a headset is spawned it is assigned Player Team which is obvious or Team 2 which is used for PVP or pirates. It used to be ALL headsets were on the same series of channels which meant you would always hear pirates on channel 1 when their sub got close.

If you craft a headset it always spawns as your team I.E. Player 2. Bought headsets are supposed to always spawn as Player Team as well and any Console spawned headsets spawned on cursor/ground will be Team 2 and any spawned directly into Inventory will be the team of that character.

Whats happening is due to lag (CPU in this case) or tick loss (performance fix) the ordered headsets are being spawned unto your sub and being assigned the wrong team.

I'm having the same problem as Skites with bots not hearing orders. I've experienced it almost exclusively to "special" headsets like the walkie-talkie. Other than the bot orders it works as expected

Switching it out for a different one fixes it but it's weird since all 6 of these walkies I bought from the same merchant at the same time earlier today and only 2 of them bugged out immediately?

This mod does nothing to alter submarine turrets you are having some other issue related to desync. Does everyone on your server have LUA installed and activated PROPERLY when using More Level Content which is a LUA mod.

Barotrauma and Dynamic Europa are XML mods. You might have to redock and rebuy your turrets to solve whatever bug you are having. Also I have a Turret mod on the workshop if you want even more turret options.

This mod messes up the turret hardpoints bought on multiplayer lobbies. Undocking from stations after buying a turret hardpoint does not change/show up.

Only major mod tested with this one is Dynamic Europa and More Level Content.

I also noticed a bug that isn’t directly related to this mod. If you’re playing with Soundproof Walls, make sure to enable the “muffle sound in diving suits” option, otherwise the advanced headset won’t muffle external sounds.

But honestly, I think the muffling effect itself is pretty weak anyway. That’s just my opinion though.

It seems that advanced headset is now incompatible with standard. If one player has advanced headset and the other has standard, they will not hear each other. Is that the intention?

Is the All + Parallel mod version swappable in a campaign with this version? or would it require a new version. In a multiplayer campaign and should have read the mod more thoroughly cus now we are trying to figure out how to get certain crafting recipes with a limited amount of players lol
