uh, this is a mod about colonialism?

anyways, I'd suggest maybe adding events for some nations who attempted colonization, but in the end failed, like Sweden or Kurland

Those events influenced colonialism worldwide.

What do you think about the slave revolts? Everyone knows the Haitian one, but many happened, including a massive one in Brazil called "The Palmares War." Basically, duo to the Dutch invasions, runaway slaves fled to a mountanous region in the northwest of Brasil and it took almost almost 50 years to crush them.

There were many more in all of the Americas wherever there was a big slave population. Since Eu4's system is incapable of reproduzing asymmetric warfare, the only way to make it a threat is by bringing massive numbers under generals with high manuever.

The revolt would spawn in a randon province in the Americas with the goal to occupy the entire state of the same province. If successful, this would generate a republic with a tag based on the state it spawned and its culture changing to Afro (insert colonial region).

I can't code, so I don't know if any of my suggestions are possible/viable. But if you are interested in the Brazilian one, I can translate wharever you need from Portuguese sources.

interesting idea, ill make a submod for it. slave revolts arent really simulated in eu4 despite their being several throughout history. paradox probably intentionally avoided including them lol

im all good with the historical sources, but thanks for the offer. the flavour text in events is usually just a brief overview of the historical situation

That's really nice to hear. What do you think about the marriage between Charles II and Catarina de Bragança? The dowry was Tanger and Bombay.

it's on the to-do list

After a recent playthrough I'm starting to consider if it would not be best to have European colonies in Asia to transform into colonial vassals with some massive bonuses like you did in the Americas, since the AI just can't manage revolts and wars in these theaters. They also would be able to expand on their own accord, as it was historically.

1. What about more colonial regions, especially in Africa, India and South East Asia?
2. Any thoughts on either making the mod compatible with the extended timeline mod or adding more years to the game?

Please nerf personal unions you added, austria pu'ed hungary, bohemia and burgundy and became very powerful, it does not make sense, austria is strong as long as they keep the emperorship. France's pu's on provence and brittany makes him very powerful, too. France is powerful even in it's starting positions.

It's all historical though. Plus it gives you an actual challenge if you're playing a major. Though in the future I may add a decision to toggle it, whenever I revisit the project.

Reformation essentially appears all over northern Europe at the time the age of reformation kicks in. I guess I understand why you did that but honestly it creates a completely ahistorical campaign and ruins it for good.

In one instance, the first center of reformation (CoR) plopped in Ragusa, but more importantly this made the CoR convert all the remaining non protestant provinces giving you 0 time to fight back. This kills catholocism if you are not playing within the HRE because (ironically) you need to fight the emperor if you want to convert the CoR (or fight the reformation).

In addition to this, the emperor didn't fight the reformation and soon all of Europe was converted. The War of the protestant reformation was a 5 vs 25 slaughter with the emperor losing and ending up converting to Protestant or Reformed.

I really like most of what you did with the mod but with regards to the reformation... This ain't it chief.

Keep up with the good work :)
