Mod Status Update – Please Read
Hey everyone,

I wanted to post an honest update regarding the current state of this mod. Right now, I’m facing some serious challenges with compatibility — especially with the NSC (New Ship Classes) mod. I previously discovered that the mod was causing Stellaris to crash when unpausing, likely due to missing references to NSC components. After lots of digging (and a few stress naps), I managed to fix that crash — so the game no longer self-destructs when you hit play. 🎉

However, we now have a new mystery on our hands: frigates can't be built. They show up, they pretend they exist, but when it’s time to construct them — nothing happens. I'm fairly certain this is still tied to NSC-related components or ship size definitions that need to be fully replaced or rewritten.

Since I’m not a highly experienced Stellaris modder, trying to manage all of this on my own has been really overwhelming. I’ve spent hours troubleshooting and honestly started getting actual headaches from the stress. At this point, I’m strongly considering a full rework of the mod to remove all NSC dependencies and go fully standalone. It’ll be a big job, but at least then I’ll have control over everything and (hopefully) fewer ghost ships.

I haven’t made a final decision yet, but I may temporarily take the mod down from the Workshop while I clean things up and rebuild. If you’ve enjoyed the mod in the past or have advice about custom components, ship sizes, or avoiding NSC headaches, I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks again for your patience, encouragement, and support. I really want to get this working — just need a bit more time and maybe a little less interstellar drama.

Looking for Compatibility Patch Help – Let’s Collaborate!

Hey everyone,

If you have experience creating compatibility patches — especially when it comes to NSC or custom ship components — I’d really appreciate your help.

I’m currently working to make this mod either play nicely with NSC or go fully standalone, and while I’ve made some progress (crash on unpause is fixed!), there are still issues like frigates not building and lingering NSC references in my templates.

If you’ve done this kind of modding before or know how to properly structure patches to avoid overwriting shared components, please feel free to reach out. I’d love to collaborate or even just get some tips to help me move forward without losing my mind to the warp.
