Bug Reporting
Welcome to the bug reporting thread, post any technical issues or problems in this thread. I will do my best to resolve your issues. I will ask for patience with me getting back to you as me logging onto the PC to mod or check my steam is sporadic due to work commitments.

The most likely time i will see your comments will be on a Saturday or Sunday AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). I will do my best to respond then and attempt to resolve the issue or do a bug fix + patch.

I love this idea for a mod! Unfortunately, I install this mod mid-game and it drops my blood rose elixir buff (with five star diner) from +2 across the board to +1 across the board. Quite odd for a mod that should only affect a some rune recipes. Any suggestions? I'm installing it through the steam workshop if that helps. I've got a few gift bags installed but nothing else.

That is a very odd bug, do you get the same issue when you use the normal mask of the shapeshifter? The runes are mapped to run the default shapeshifter spells. So if the default (fane's mask) does the same it would seem to be a larian bug so to speak. If not i will investigate further for you.

Hi there, thank you for the quick response. I recognise that you are doing this on your free time and appreciate it.

I tried your suggestion and neither an elven mask nor fane's mask affect the five star diner buff (stay's +2). Loading your mod drops the buff to +1 without me applying any shape changing to my main character (who happens to be Lohse) who doesn't normally wear any shape changing gear. To clarify, I haven't yet made use of anything in your mod. As soon as I load your mod my buff drops from +2 back to +1.

Alrighty, i did some testing and was able to replicate the bug. However i seem to be unable to fix it. As larian have blocked off the talents from editing i cannot bump the numbers to try and fix the issue.

The bit that is not making sense for me is that i have created custom entries to avoid this very issue (So no default data is overidden). I tested with another mod i have for sandboxing new features and this bug occurs there as well. It even happens when i make a brand new mod with just a custom recipe.

As it happens with a new mod with only a custom recipe (and not modifying anything else, basically a mod to make nails using shells and fish) i am thinking it is a larian level bug where changing the game with the engine causes the 5 star diner talent to not work correctly.

I am sorry i am unable to resolve the issue for you, if it is a thing that is needed for your playthrough. I can whip up a small mod and publish it to improve the black rose potion to make it give a +2 boost or make a new recipe to create a boosted version of the potion using the base one as part of the recipe.

Cursed larian bug! Thanks so much for looking into this. You're offer of whipping up a quick mod is very kind. Modding the black rose potion effect to increase it to +2 sounds like a lovely idea. It sounds like this may be a popular work around for any crafting mod as it sounds like they all invoke this particular larian bug.

A boosted version of the base potion won't help my play through since I've already drunk the potion but I'm sure others would appreciate it if proves difficult to modify the base effect of the black rose potion.

Interestingly, I did a bit more testing and it seems that your crafting mod just cancels out the five star dinner talent completely. It normally double potion and food effects as well. The doubling of potion and food effect is also eliminated when the mod is load. Not that it effects your actions at all, it just makes for a more precise bug report to Larian.

I quite like your mod so I'm thinking of just ditching the five star dinner talent and swapping over to something like mnemonic.

Lastly, upon playing with your mod for a bit longer (mostly to allow a helmet on Fane) I've noticed that your runes also add some lovely stat bonuses when equipped in various slots. That more than makes up for the loss of the five star dinner talent.

Please, don't worry about making the small mod for my sake.

Great mod you've got here!

Ah thank you for the feedback, i should have been clearer in what i meant when i said "Does not work correctly" I tested other food and potion effects and noticed it never applied. Hence it is not working as expected.

I am glad you are enjoying the stat boosts. If you are at a stage where you can get access to a source orb. You can create combination runes. This allows you to change into 2 races with one rune and it combines the effects of both runes (and scales down the intensity). The stat boosts are designed based on each race lore (or what i considered would be race lore).

Basically you have an option of using all 4 races (and their stat boosts) with the combo runes on one character.

Thank you for enjoying the mod, and please feel free to let me know if there any issues.
Just an FYI in the latest version i have begun the implementation of custom models for the shapeshifted form. So when the characters look different, note this is due to this. I am currently working on custom icons for the shaped form & i am working on setting up a dialog menu to customise the appearance of the shaped form in-game.

Great to hear. Custom models would be a fantastic addition to this mod.
