Bug Reports/Incompatibility

Post in this thread with a detailed description of the issue, as well as a complete list of mods you have loaded when you experience the issue.

I CANNOT GUARANTEE FIXES, AS ARMA IS A DEEPLY MODDABLE GAME, AND I CANNOT CONTROL OTHER MODDER'S WORK.

That being said, I will do my best to try to fix or diagnose issues as I have time :) thanks for using my mod!

Pro Tip: Writing out a complete list of mods could be really frustrating if you use a lot of mods, but if you go into the Arma 3 launcher, go to your mods list, and click on '...More' at the top of the page, you can export a list of mods to a file. Then you can just copy and paste that list into your bug report here.

Alright, after isolating the mods you two had in common (having two of you saved me a TON of guess and check work, so thank you LightStryka for commenting as well) it turns out that the mod causing the issue is Smarter Tanks by {RP} Alan https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1352437763

Smarter Tanks works by telling the AI which weapons it should prefer to use, which makes the AI you are controlling in the drone constantly switch back to it's #1 preferred weapon. I don't have a fix yet (and may not be able to implement one, since this is caused by someone else's mod), but I will look into it over the next week or so and see what I can do.

I believe there may be a fix I can implement, if I use cfgWeapons and create "new" weapons that have different names, but inherit all the traits of the current weapons. I am going to try to test this today and see if it works. I'll keep y'all updated here.

hey when I fire weapons the bullets go waaaaaaaaay off the mark where the cursor aims.

[566th]War Dog - The dev explained how this works. And if you FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS it will work for you too!

At times, and I do not know how to 'get there', you will, AT TIMES, see an '+' marking where the guns will fire without having to lock on first. Put that '+' on the target and fire away. THIS IS MANUAL firing.

I have no issues using any of the weapons on this drone. ALL of them work IF you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!

Just go to the editor, put down a bunch of enemy AI, get 'into' the drone and try it/practice with it.

With the MG, you will have to aim at the CIRCLE. This is 'leading the target' as in any aircraft with MG's. Shoot the circle and the rounds WILL hit the '+'.

It DOES work...ALL weapons work as they should.

You call me names, yet it was YOU who failed to read any info! I will give credit due where it is called for; at least you admitted to making a mistake. Most would not have.

@[566th]War Dog - Yes, I did win. When you grow-up and act mature, there might a chance that you may win an argument too by not resorting to immature and childish methods as you did earlier.

Now, I shall leave to yourself so that you can argue with yourself. You're simply not worth any more of my time nor effort.

You made a mistake - It was pointed out to you - You acknowledged that fact - Case closed.

@Warhead - When you first posted this mod, I had installed it. Outside of the mod conflict, it work as designed.

But after I THINK your last update, there is NO sound from the drone itself. Just silence.

To ME, it just a minor thing, but I thought I would let ya know.

I have NOT un-installed/re-installed your mod.

Thanks for a nice mod!
