@Arelium - TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, it would not fit and the recoil alone probably would send the plane in some 'unknown direction'...hahaha...would be fun to watch it though! ;)

But this is an EXCELLENT mod. You can just use this mod ALONE and do entire missions/campaigns with this unit ALONE.

Couple this mod with mine, then you can turn on 'unlimited fuel and ammo' as well as 'god mode' for the drone. And you talk about 'kicking some butt!' LOL

Do be careful doing such, as it makes ALL missions TOO EASY to 'win'.

I usually will just have mine 'flying recon' (circle/loiter)over an area myself...

Not going to lie, there is a reason why we don't have 105mm cannons on light-weight, small aircraft. But looks like a nice mod!

@coooper That is an older version of the drone, so it's not really possible to access that EXACT reticle

@Anarch - You may have made a mistake. I see no video/link to any video. And from what I know, the boxes come from the sensors. No sensors - no boxes.

One COULD set the range on these sensors to be like .001m, but I have no clue on how to do this. It IS possible doing this with other 'things' such as max speeds via config override files.

It STILL would be 'shooting blind'. And hitting the target would be almost impossible as the drone pilot would have to 'lead' the weapon. Since I have no link for any video, I can not say what they are doing or not doing.

Both videos put up by the dev DO show targeting boxes....???

@Warhead Unfortunately, programming is practically not familiar to me. Can't i get rid of boxes using the initialization window?

@machineGunKelly Perhaps you did not quite understand what I want to disable. I want to disable only the gray "boxes" around the targets and nothing else. That is, I want the UAV sight to be like in the video here. There are no "boxes" here.

@Warhead - hahahaha...I looked at that you said @Warhead, and what a MESS that would be for him to do such! A LOT of work! Thanks for those commands, I have never seen those before...pretty kool! Thanks for that info! :)

@Anarch - I see a lot of issues for you trying to do this. It SOUNDS like you want the drone to 'fly blind'. How do they aim to shoot then? Since the drone is moving, a lead of some sort will be required and if they have 'no sight'. it would be nothing but a 'hit and miss'. ALL 'remote shootings' REQUIRE some sort of target ID, even with things like artillery. Problem is; Artillery is stationary - Drones are not.

You may wish to re-think this one...nice concept though! :)

Those target markers exist because of the way I configured the vehicle sensors. If you know how to program, you should be able to use some combination of the commands listVehicleSensors and enableVehicleSensor to turn off the sensors responsible for highlighting targets.

Anyone can help? My Zeus mission requires the drone to have no target markers. I mean squares over any enemy (infantry and tanks). I'd like to remove them completely so that the "on the ground" players have to help the "in the air" player identify targets. Otherwise, it turns out too casual ): . In general, the mod is cool and convenient, thanks!

@Sert3t - Its not from RHS nor CUP. I always have both loaded and it works perfect. As matter of fact. I have 100+ mods loading and I have no issues.

It will fly to a default height if you do not give it one...

YOU MUST:

Give command
Give 'status' - fire, not fire, etc.
Give Height - 50m, 200m, 500m, 2000m

This is standard on ALL drones in ARMA. I THINK if you do not give a height, for THAT DRONE, it defaults to 2000m

@盛海鱼业彭于晏 - There is no map of way points except what they UAV terminal provides. This is a 'standard ARMA' UAV vehicle with 'guns' attached. This mod behaves like any other ARMA UAV.

As @TheLonelySqrt3 stated, my mod will let you spawn it sitting anywhere on any map OR flying anywhere on any map, along with the other UAV vehicles.

It's a map of the drone's waypoints, and if you can give me an example of a console command, I can't watch the creative workshop video. That's the empty one. I don't know how to set it up

@盛海鱼业彭于晏 are you asking about the map where the UAV waypoint is set up? That is accessed using the scroll-wheel menu if you have a UAV terminal of the correct faction in your inventory.

@Muratcan[TMB] - There is a mod which will do this as often as you like; anywhere, anytime. No landing, no coding, no nothing. Just use it. ;)

I use it all the time for ANY drone vehicle!

@Muratcan[TMB] If you have used up the ammo and you need to rearm the drone there are a few ways to do it. Without any coding, the easiest way is to land the drone and then drive an ammo vehicle over to it. If you have access to the debug console, cursorTarget setVehicleAmmo 1 will rearm the drone if you have your cursor on it.

@Sh0kGaming to add to what I wrote below, I posted on the JSRS discussions page to let LordJarhead know about the issue. He may fix it before I find a work around, or not. He's got a much bigger set of mods to take care of.

@Sh0kGaming I wanted to update you guys on the sound issues for the 20mm minigun - I've tracked the issue down to JSRS SOUNDMOD by LordJarhead. JSRS causes problems with the vanilla 20mm minigun on the Blackfish VTOL aircraft, which the minigun on the drone inherits. Unfortunately, this means that I don't have a lot of options to fix the audio issue beyond

a) inherit from a different weapon (with different performance and sound inherently)

b) figure out to make custom sounds (and find a sound source I can legally use)

Either option will take some time, but I will try to get things changed as soon as I can

@Lusus Naturae - There is not a backpack for the drone (seemed a bit silly, since it's almost the size of a small plane), but you can spawn the drone in using Zeus or using some debug console commands. When I post the next update for the drone (ETA one week), I will update the workshop description with a code snippet to spawn the drone flying with a crew from the debug console.

@Sh0kGaming Thanks for subscribing! Yes, I absolutely agree, I am actually working on replacing the sound all together - it's loud, and it sounds like it's somehow layered over itself in a weird way... The next update should improve lock stability, and include some sound fixes. I don't have a firm ETA but I would imagine it will be ready sometime in the next few weeks.

Absolutely LOVE this mod. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of... the 20mm minigun is ear-piercingly loud . Not sure if this is the case for anyone else or if it's just me. Other than that, this mod is one of my all time favorites right now.
