Suggestions
Would be cool if players could stack and use wealth somhow. Like buying jewels what can be easily moved and kept safe. Also would be nice if player can buy and upgrade estates what can bring him/her income prestige and even troops.

The wealth usage and others are future planned for decisions and more... About the "Estate" thats gonna need more tinkering and more hands on my "team" since this is a solo project xD However its nice that you oppened this discussion page, i love suggestions

I'm missing something to do as a simple serve, as i can go to the countryside once for a decade I think that cool thing would be to have a nemesis, like "Bandit king" for example, then we can try with a chain of events to fight him/her and its not gonna be simple, right choises, luck and we met punch him /her hard and with years of fighting we can win this small regional war, so we can something to do between hunts every 2 years /// Sorry for my ENG I'm not a native speaker

can we adopt merchant republic palace into this? could be awesome. then again this gonna change feudalism as a whole, some sort of private property or business would be nice.

I really wish i could but i believe the palace mechanic is hardcoded into merchant republics..... and id i make the landless ruler a merchant republic hell attach himself into a patrician family cause the game to bug

hmm how about character modifier then? less hasle like own apple plantation? tea workshop, leather works or brothel maybe depend on trait? this attainable via event chain or trigger then again this cannot be granted to heir. or maybe in form of artifact make additional slot like property instead of books, lets just pretend this is "artifact" is building like factory or land permit for plantation. this should do the tricks.

how about adventure guild sort like society giving guild points the quest should be unique maybe hunting monster, track assassins or simple works like helping harvest local farmlands or eliminating pesky rodent or sort thus ask boon like redeem guild points and make it into coins?

or using jade dragon mechanics instead of China this is adventurer guild then again need proper trait to give some character grace modifier.

man sorry too many suggestion guess I'm too excited.

I'm no pro but if you want me to handle some localization I can do that I can do modding tiny bit to alter mod, just suggestion but if we gonna make proper text based rpg we need bigger event incorporated because original event text kinda small.

like I said I'm no pro but know enough to make my own customization.
Is it possible at all to reduce patrician count to 1? If that's possible you can have makeshift merchant republics without land

Edit:
MERCHANT_REPUBLIC_MAX_PATRICIANS in defines.lua defaults to 5. Try setting it to 1.
This will ofcourse define it for all merchant republics. But it will definetly work for what we want it to be.

sadly by using republic mechanics you gonna be stuck using agnatic patrician elective, you certainly doesn't want that using republic meaning your lord also get that -20 wrong government type making you lot less desirable vassal in AI calculation mechanics there is also problem with that since it ties to republic government it can cause you to sudden game over due end up as republic for example your liege giving you city since you are republic AI will treat you as republic giving you city instead of castle, there is also problem with this if you are given non coastal republic it is instant game over.
fair play, i still feel we need way more ways to spend cash, i end up raiding in mp with my buddy most of the time, and end up having 5k troops of just cavalry and 3k worth of gold to do nothing with

Well give me ideas, im implementing a blacksmith and leatherworker to waster materials you can go arround buying for gear and stuff but its very rought right now.... I can make a special event chain that costs alot of money to send a family member on a journey around the world, or use money for priveleges, but i still need more ideas for gold wasting
maybe learning traits trough education, some artifacts for your children, a way to gain a holding without losing your courtier status? like owning a city without having the baron title, i dont know lol
spending cash to get extra plot power? like somehow changing either yours or creating a custom courtier which after just dies

if your child dies and you inherited the barony title it is instant game over in current state, right now to repair obsolete coding is top priority for dev teams, about new content, don't worry we have it under control, next update will be better and will add lots variety of flavour event.
