I have found a slight incompatibility when used with EMF (HIP component). When you raise ships, you automatically get an event from EMF, which as far as I can tell is intended for landless adventuring AI, which says that "since you are no longer at war to reclaim your titles, your men are going home" and the fleet disbands. Only a minor annoyance, it can be overcome by immediately ordering your troops to embark on the ships once you raise them (keep the game paused). A minor incompatibility nevertheless.

hello. Cant figure out why but every several months without my character dies, I take game over screen. Why is that and how can I solve this

After turning on this mod once, its features are permanently part of the game even when I turn it off...

Somewhat give you the opportunity to do the same as the rise to power mod without the traits being broken and with bonus compatibility with overhauls such as ck2+! Gameplay is as expected different however for more or less the same goal between the two mods with different strenghs.

For anyone asking about AGOT compatibility, here's some tips to make it work:

1. Run the CK2 launcher; if there's no checkbox beside the mod name or it's appearing twice go to your mod folder and rename "play as courtier exp.mod" to simply "play as courtier exp" (i.e. remove the ".mod" in the name).

2. Open the .mod file and replace the existing dependencies line with the following: dependencies = { "A Game of Thrones" }

3. Make sure you're running the 3.3.3 version (change versions through library -> properties -> betas).

In my experience, point 1 is something I have to do with most, if not all, Workshop mods I install while point 2 is specific to this mod and changing the line gets the mod to load properly. Hope this helps and have fun!

did you go to the .mod file of the mod in documets/paradox/ck2/mods open it with a notepad++ and changing the dependencies to = "A Game Of Thrones"?

And remember that if you run away with a ruler your chancelour becomes ruler.... so you can place a son in the position of chancelour and run, leaving that son in power

well you lost it but you can just run away with the child again :)
you must lose the courtier title otherwise really wierd things will happen and youll never lose the courtier debufs

When I did an adventurer conquest my courtier title disappeared. Kind of disappointing, since now I can't have my second child inherit that title and continue to play as a courtier.

Required a simple solution: Enabling Steam Cloud. I had prior problems with other Workshop mods too so it fixed those problems as well.

Well, they were there to gain materials (trader or following the stewardship job and depending on the word position in a non-overhaul map) and to create items (blacksmith) the first part of itmes is already implemented, you can buy items and sell them for diferent prices in diferent parts of the map, but the blacksmith isnt done yet

HEY MY FELLOW COURTIERS GUESS WHAT! The mod wasnt working cause aparently the files have a duplicate descriptor.mod, and cause of that the game could not open the zip without giving out a error. Ill be patching it soon but in any case you can delete the duplicate and it will work

I don't know what you updated in the files, but the mod is now broken and doesn't work in basic Ck2. Really had an interesting game going, but it doesn't load the old save and the button in the decisions tab is gone. Would love you to post a link for the old version so we can play it again.
