Please report any bugs here. I’m especially interested in hearing about cultures spawning in the wrong places, incorrect cultures breaking down, missing regions, cultures not converting to eu4 properly, crashes and broken decisions or events

Small bug: when breaing down cultures central Hungary becomes sloven and therefore the King of Hungary becomes sloven when starting the character breakdown.

Edit: Is it possible to make the characters only swap culture only if they are a local Ruler and not foreign? (ie. Same Culture Group as their capital´s Culture). It´s quite weird seeing the Crusader King of Jerusalem become Arab in Culture.

Hmm, it might be necessary to move his capital manually but perhaps I can add an exception for Hungary.

I agree, it's a problem I'm had and usually I resolve it by using a another mod to change it back. However, I do think it is possible so I'll look into it.

Would appear that, at least with HIP which could very well be the problem, when the "Viking Age Begins!" event fires, it doesn't actually spread any of the tech because none of the cultures are technically norse.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean here, can you elaborate?

When the Viking Age event pops up, all Norse ports get the Shipbuilding technology, docks (or whatever the building that makes more ships is), and the ability to conquer any coastal county. While using this mod this didn't happen, I got the event but nothing actually changed in the world. I still got the event, but instead of it saying "To new lands!" it said the usual non-norse "From the fury of the northmen deliver us!". So I believe it doesn't actually apply to Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian cultures like it should.

Granted, I was also using the Historical Immersion Project so it could just be that it's incompatible with culture-related events. I'm not sure if it's something you accounted for in the mod or not, if it is then it's definitely something incompatible with HIP.

Oh I see, this is probably because you used the mod in the early game. Danish, Swedish and Norwegian usually cannot raid, so if all of the Norse cultures are broken down too early there won't be any Norsemen that can raid. I could edit the Danish, Swedish and Norwegian cultures to allow for raiding, but this may wreck havoc later on because they aren't suppose to be able to raid. I think another option is that I can make a decision that converts everything but the Norse cultures so that raiding won't be affected.

Hadn't thought of that. I don't know enough about modding CK2 to know how to go about solving it, but if nothing else a warning would be nice. Thanks for the replies, and awesome mod!

No problem! Thanks for the report and the kind words! I’m releasing an update that prevents Danish, Swedish and Norwegian from breaking down if it’s before 1000 AD, so the issue should be resolved.

Hey, cool mod and everything but it doesn't really work for me. I keep getting an event saying "EVTDESCCB.1000" and then my character can respond "Norse customs are superior!" and follows up with "Capital:X King Björn of Sweden becomes Norse!". I was thinking that it might be that it only works after the year 1000 since i am playing in 942 at the moment, is this assumption correct?

I'll test it to make sure, currently the intention is that Norse shouldn't convert before 1000. Also to stop the popup messages, hit the "stop culture breakdown" button in decisions.

Really love the mod, but whenever I try and coming back to a saved game, most of the characters becomes danelander and change their dynasty.
