Improved Culture Breakdown

Description
Overview
Unlike EU4, CK2 does not contain divided culture groups. This can often cause issues when converting to EU4 and often makes converted games much more bland. To fix this, this mod is designed to breakdown each of the cultures in each region of Europe into their EU4 versions to help prepare the game for conversion. Although meant for EU4 conversions, this mod can also be used in a normal campaign for a more varied and interesting cultural experience. Originally based on the mod created by charlemagne1428. All credit goes to him for the baseline mod. The original link is here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=441790187&searchtext=culture

Features
• CK2 to EU4 converter compatible!
• Breaks down French, Italian, Iberian and German cultures into their EU4 equivalents.
• French in the Low Countries will become Walloon and German in the Low Countries will become Dutch.
• Breaks down Norse into Danish, Norwegian and Swedish if the year is after 1000.
• Breaks down Russian into Ruthenian and Belarusian in the Ruthenian area.
• Breaks down Scottish in the highlands into Highlander.
• Breaks Bedouin into Egyptian in the Egyptian area and Berber into Tunisian and Moroccan.
• Breaks Persian into Azerbaijan and Mazandarani in appropriate regions.
• Breaks down Greek into a custom culture in Italy and Pontic in North Anatolia.
• Custom cultures for French in the British isles and English in France.
• Includes a decision to force characters to change cultures to the new cultures.
• Crusader states and Normans should NOT change cultures.

Usage
To use the mod, just hit the culture breakdown decision in the intrigue menu. You can stop this at any time by hitting the Stop Culture Breakdown decision. There is also a decision to force characters to become the culture of the province that their capital is in (vassals included). If you want to stop character breakdown, hit the decision again.

All of the cultures produced by this mod are EU4 converter compatible and will map to their EU4 equivalents (if it exists).

Victoria 2
If you also are using the EU4 to Victoria 2 converter, custom cultures that do not normally appear in either CK2 or EU4 will not map. To avoid issues with EU4 to Victoria 2 conversions use the Victoria 2 culture breakdown option. This will ensure that unmappable cultures such as Greek Italian, Franco-Welsh and Danlander will not spawn.

Future Plans
• Greater division of the Berber cultures into Algerian.
• Greater division of the Iranian cultures.
• Breakup of Mongol culture.
• Addition of Cornish.
• Additional custom melting pot cultures.
• Option to break down individual culture groups.

Known Bugs
• Smith Dynasties. This is a placeholder dynasty because a lot of the new cultures don't have dynasty names defined yet. I'm slowly fixing this.

I’d be free, add me on steam and send me a message sometime.

Hey, I'm thinking about picking this mod up and refurbishing it so it's up to par with the new EU4 cultures; I've already mapped out the conversions. Would you be free to chat sometime?

This may not be related, but I noticed that Illyrian appears twice in the culture file. I don't know if I did something by mistake while looking through it or not, but could you give it a look?

Yeah that is a very strange bug, generally the bug I tended to see was the smith bug. But this seems more serious

I'm going to try rebuilding a few items from scratch to see if I catch similar problems with the sudden homogenization problem. Hopefully custom characters don't get hit by the Oromo strangelets next!

A few people had reported it previously, although I did add new cultures to the culture file. I also moved the dynasty names to a new file and added another list for my own new dynasty names to a second file.
