I know of 1 particular conflict, both 1939fixed na SU+ mods overwrite soviet history file, however because of their names, the game correctly uses the SU+ file version in case both mods run.
Also, a big problem I noticed with the vanilla 1939 startdate is that a lot of Focuses that should already be completed are not. And this really screws up the flow of the game. Does this mod fix that problem?
You can figure out what Focuses should be completed already by looking at the AI_Strategy_Plans folder.
Soviet Union Vanilla+ :
history\countries\SOV - Soviet union.txt
So now my question is, what should the load order be? Paradoxos Mod Manager allows you to decide load order.
The Spanish Focus "National Recovery" should already be completed in the 1939 startdate. According to the historical strategy plan file. I think.
Something I noticed with the vanilla game is the Siegfried Line (Westwall) does not extend north far enough.
Since I use this mod, Germany is not invading Norway.
I tag switched to Italy and they were doing the Focus 'Prospect For Oil' in August 1940. Which is wrong based on the Historical Strategy Plan. It look like Italy AI skipped many Focus it suppose to do.
Germany only has 8 submarines in late February 1941. That doesn't seem right.
Some notes: The 1936 and 1939 AI uses the same strategy plan, however in 1939 start the focuses generally don't correspond to that historical plan. Sometimes historical path isn't even fully possible. However I've added some modified plans to acount for that (so that wars start correctly at the very least)
Also this mod doesn't try to force AI into being historical, just the starting conditions and first months/year. I kept Italy attacking Yugo in case Germany fails to beat France, so that Italy joins Axis and helps them. Better than stalemate and 2 front war against Soviets, in my opinion.
There is a mod that makes the Maginot/Italian defense lines historical (maybe Siegfriend line as well), forgot the name though.
I did not observe any issues with Norway, maybe they just invade it later.
I haven't played the Bosphorus DLC much, in fact I disable it for historical games, there are so many ahistorical wargoal focuses even in the democratic trees, AI is randomly picking wrong paths, and Turkey just straight up joins the allies in 1942/3 in historical games, and it's not even fixable without changing the focus tree itself.
How can I change it so Italy doesn't declare war on Yugoslavia?
I found a mod called Real Maginot Line. It doesn't add any Forts in Italy though.
