I have a suggestion for an option to narrow the Numbers window when the columns don't take much space. Example in the following screenshot:

In this example, I am only looking at my pawns' jobs and would like to observe them while having the Numbers window opened. Right now, it occupies most of the screen. I know that the window's width is adjusted to the first Colonists, Stats, Work,... row, so I don't say it should collapse by default, but there could be a button to do it manually in such case as mine.
