All my forces lose to the imperial fleet without this, any help in taking out the ssd would be appreciated. Thank ya'll

First of all, this mission is VERY micro-heavy. Be prepeared to pause game often and thinking your next steps trough.

Focus on bringing as many fighters as you can, especially X-wings. Quasar carriers are one of the ways you can achiewe fighter superiority; gain at least 25 - 30 wings in total. Bring brawlers, A LOT of them, dreadghnouts and Dauntlesses alike. Bring arty and ion boats.

Remember that the "first forces" of your fleet you will gain for free, so you are basically allowed to double your fleet size for this one. Focus on maintaining a healthy meat shield between enemy fleet and Home One; Home One should always be on the move, this ship needed only for trigerring specific points of mission (a.k.a. big arrow on the map). It is better to have a lot of smaller ships then just 3 M80 Independences, but they are going to be an exellent meat shield providers.

At the start of the mission your main focus will be on gaining air superiority. Kill off all fighters and bombers - this is important. After you did that mission breaks down into two parts - before and after you recieve orders to kill SSD.

Before SDS shields will be deactivated, focus mainly on destroying turbolasers and ion weapons of enemy ships. Keep Home One on the move and NEVER in the front row. Bring your bigger ships as close to the enemy as you can, they will most likely be destroyed anyway because of the SDS laser - make shure they are equiped with short range weapons. While this is going on, bring doom to the enemy subsystems using X-wings. At the same time, focus part of your fleet - mainly ion boats (Maradeurs are good for that role) - on killing off shields on the SSD. Also you can focus it's heavy turbos and shield gens, but last one is not really a problem.

After Lando and Wedge will go down to SDS, it will stop firing at your ships. At this point, most of enemy ships should have little to no turbolasers and other ways to bring down your shields, your fighters will dominate the space and all will come down to just bringing everything you got to killing SSD. Order every singe ship larger than a corvette to open fire on the SSD (KEEP THE QUAZARS AND HOME ONE AWAY), and order your fighters to kill of any remaining damage output subsystems. If everything goes right, you will win.

Expect most of your fleet's capital ships to be destroyed. Bring the biggest fleet you can afford. Take your time to prepeare.

TL;DR:
1) Bring A LOT of X-wings and meat shield brawlers
2) Keep Home One away
3) Kill subsystems using microcontrol (3-4 wings on 1 system)
4) Win.
