Love the mod you guys did an amazing job. Please keep up the work! The Balancing is better then most mods I see now and days. The up on the difficulty and including strategic building is fantastic.

Pro's:

Space:

I love how you guys made it to where support ships play really big roles and Capital ships aren't just overpowered that fit every role. They need escorts which makes medium/small ships essential to making a strong fleet including the Empire. Trade ships is a unique feature that I like as well. The different stations that can be built especially for extra defenses. Fighters feel like they are important now as they should since that was the Rebellions strong advantage.

Land:

I feel you guys nailed this, it's the best it could possibly be. I felt bored when playing Corruption land battles as it wasn't thrilling so I was constantly auto resolving not caring for the loses. But what you guys did is incredible. Graphics, turret balancing, troops etc. absolutely love it and I always look forward to land battles now. I couldn't be more happy of how the land battles are now.

Tech:

The new Tech seems amazing especially now you want to defend those research stations in order to maintain those tech ships. Definitely makes decisions to be more strategic of where you build those stations.

Buildings / Stations:

I like the new variety of Buildings and Stations. Making each planet unique to build only certain buildings/stations making it to where each planet can only construct certain units/ships. Definitely making it to where it is important to pay attention to what planets can do what and what planets that definitely need protecting to produce your military.

Con's:


Independent Factions:

I like this idea but I feel they don't do much. The most they do is take 2 to 3 planets and nothing else. Never see them attack the player or other factions and doing anything that could impact the game. They feel like a just a neutral world not their own faction. If anything I would recommend like diplomatic options with these factions like trade, buying them out converting their planets to yours without fighting them, possibly buy units from them or hire them to raid other factions.

Lancer Frigate:

Black Suns Crusader Corvette and Rebellion Corellian Corvette fit the role for fighter screening better then Lancer Frigate. I watch them battle and I even tested them in skirmish mode to see if I was going nuts but It seems they miss a lot and don't do much damage to fighters. I feel it doesn't do the job all that much when it should. I prefer using Galleons full of fighters then using any Lance Frigate.

Land:

One issue I seem to have playing land battles is that units tend to veer off from where they are holding their position to chase enemies that they see. This is quite annoying especially if those enemies are air units which then I see my tanks fly off across the map chasing them then dying. It's not like I'm telling them to target them which then I would understand but its not that, they just roam off time to time chasing enemies that retreat when I did not give them the order to do so.

Missions:

Great Idea but they are too frequent and feel they are in the way. Rewards are awesome if you can do them. There are times when you can't do them for either you cannot build anything on the planets you currently own or you cannot build those types of buildings cause you do not own those planets yet that give you that option. I have made planets to where i left them open to do this to where I build the structure then sell it off for the next mission. But to miss out on a lot of income or more unit production just to meet the standards for the missions is really silly. Most annoying mission of them all are the assassination missions as you can only assassinate minor hero's, meaning you have to camp other factions worlds to wait for them to produce one to kill one. There are times when they don't produce one at all and you failed the mission.

Question:

Tech:

Idk if this is an issue or how you guys made it not sure as I finish campaigns too quickly. I noticed after researching Tech lvl 4 for Empire I did not see an advancement to Tech lvl 5. Also for Black Suns buy tech from the black market seems to be a bit impossible if the other factions don't lvl up their tech. By the time I win the game I won't have all the Tech unlocked because the AI wouldn't advance up.

Tweaks:

So I believe the Lancer Frigate is in need of a buff for either damage to fighters or buff on accuracy as I stated before I could use 3 fighter screener corvettes from the other factions and they would fit the role real well compare to the Lancer.

Hopefully this gets fixed to where my land units won't run off unless I tell them to target something otherwise.

Missions please fix this. This needs to be fixed and ran to where the mission generator understands hey they don't have room to build this building or hey the AI has no hero's to assassinate. I feel the assassination missions should be removed since you cannot assassinate major hero's. Better yet give us an option to remove the missions so I don't hear the constant ping noise about ignoring missions.

Also maybe fix it to where we do not have to wait for the other factions to get their tech lvl up and just increase the prices of the tech that they are not up too yet. It would get to the point where I just own 90% of the map and I don't finish black sun tech cause I didn't give the AI chance to get their tech up.


Overall Fantastic Mod it's made me get back into this game. Definitely not playing Star Wars Rebellion for a bit lol.

Fantastic post! As a personal thing and probably not something the greater community would like is no shield pen for projectiles. Sometimes the lore is wishy/washy on this topic but having shield pen makes so many big ships kinda pointless. If you want to keep fighters/bombers useful then just up their damage against shields but don't just let them pen anything. Like I said I probably don't have a popular opinion but I do think it has some merit.

The Shield Penetration I think is important to what they are trying to do with their mod. With this mod I feel they are trying to go realistic with how like I said in my post needing diverse amount of ships to fill roles you will need in battles so you ain't just spamming out 1 ship like Star Destroyer for example that fits every role including fighter screening which they couldn't do in the first place. Like in order to keep the fighters dominant as they should since they make up a lot of wins in space battles especially for the Rebellion as their fighters pretty much secure 90% of their victories, they need this extra boom boom to fill that dominate role. Like fighters you can easily counter with your own fighters along with fighting screening corvettes. Another example from my post is with the Empire I just used more Gallons cause the lancer frigate doesn't feel they do the job but the Gallons were good enough to take care of rebellion fighters with no issues. You can easily keep your capital ships safe from smaller ships and fighters but at the expense of instead of deploying 5 Star Destroyers your mostly deploying 2 to 3 with a lot of support ships escorting them " Depending on the enemy fleet composition". Even better way to counter fighters use the Broadside cruiser to destroy all of the fighters lol.
