Fixing Shift-C - Resolved
EDIT: Issue has been resolved

Created this discussion in the hopes of finding a solution for fixing the Shift-C issue. Reloading a save game is not the best work around. I found a workaround myself from reading about msg events from the documentation. Wish the documentation listed every single msg event and not a few.

Adding OnMsg.Pause() function. This is called when the game is paused. Opening the game menu by pressing escape pauses the game.

Now I don't have to reload a save game every time to reset the camera, just pause the game and resume!

Mod Author should add this to his current mod

Hi,

This is a very interesting find. I will need to try and figure out how to fix this. Your workaround isnt really a fix as people won't know to pause and go in to the option screen to reset it. So I will need to figure out a fix.

Thank you so much for pointing this out and I will work today on trying to resolve it. Please keep in mind though that this isn't really a bug because the free camera mode is not actually meant to be part of the base game. It's actually part of the cheats but nonetheless, I want to fix it anyway :-)

I agree, not a fix, but a temporary solution. If you do manage to find a fix, that be awsome, but for now the pause menu trick is the best we can get for now. Thanks for reading my post.

Also, this is unrelated but need to ask if you know a key command to remove the game icons without using photo mode?

I can confirm, it works. Good Job! Now just need to get a mod for disabling achievements. So I can just go crazy at money and research without getting achievements when doing it. Sometimes like to play god mode without achievements.

I found a work around, would not say it's legal but best I can do for now
