💀Welcome to the Dusk Wood💀

This unsettling biome has been designed to offer a dark and macabre experience.
Populated with zombified animals and forgotten undead, you will find rest here, permanently.
Its magnificent acidic lakes and brambles offer an incredible landscape. But be careful where you step.
The air is fresh, the weather overcast, very overcast, a dark and unsettling fog permanently covers this region. Good news, you won’t get any sunburn here.




Let’s move on to an observation of the wildlife:

- Here you will find corrupted animals: bears, deer, wild boars, and wolves. Since the area is blighted, you will also encounter numerous rats and crows.



- New animals:

- The skeletons littering this region tend to rise again, beware of the powerful Death Knights.

Futur plan:

I plan to add more variants for the undead, probably more species; I need to take the time to think about what will work well. I will also make connections with my Undead Legendary Armory mod, such as the possibility of crafting the Death Knight armor from the remains of the Wild Death Knights.

Mod Needed
It will be necessary for you to install the excellent mod Dark Ages: Crypts and Tombs créé par l'incroyable Sir Van, whose elements greatly enhance the DuskWood.



Mod Recommanded

Although not mandatory, the Medieval Overhaul mod will add numerous bones on the ground in addition to the ruins from this mod, notably armored skeletons lying on the ground that can now even roam these woods if MO is active. These are alternative versions that only appear when Medieval Overhaul is present.








I also recommend this mod The Profaned. which is the one that motivated me to create this biome, as it allows you to lead the undead into battle, and it will fit particularly well with the Dusk Wood Biome.






I also recommend my mod The undead legendary armory. Soon, I’m going to update this mod and link it to this biome through various mechanics, such as the possibility of dropping broken armor from the Death Knights, which can be used as a component to craft the said armor for our pawns.

hmmm mayby tad bit too many sepulchrals and candles... could use more ruined variants to make it feel bit more Lost to the forest so to say mayby some ossuary walled structures randomly generated would feel nice, also on side note on current run i managed to go into an mixed biome province and one side constantly keeps spawning in mushrooms it physically cant nor normally would have because duskwood is so dark in general lmao- oh and personal recommendation make Patches(For Undead races and sanguophages)/Gene/&Precepts or smh to combat the Dusk fog negative thoughts as such races wouldn't really Care that the world looks like its dying

Yeah it might be one of the re-texture mods im using, i'll figure out which one is causing it. Loving the mod for the medieval undead playthrough thank you =)

The toxic waters are the basic ones in Odyssey (from the Scarland biome), at no point did I touch their code, so who knows where your bug comes from?

I'm getting green and purple Vertical lines all over the Toxic Shallow Ocean Water and Toxic Deep Ocean Water from the Dusk Wood Biome. Not sure if it's an issue with Clean Textures or Outland - Terrain.. or just a user issue xD.

if you want to do more undead i got some ideas. White walkers from GOG, PVZ Zombies, poxwalkers from warhammer, a strong enemy like the litch from adventure time, minecraft undead, lego skeletons, skyrim undead, maybe clash of clans skeletons just listing a few

If I have the time, I will look into making a second biome included with this one that spawns in the snow region, probably based on the new snow biome introduced by Odyssey with probably some arctic animals adapted to the biome, who said zombie mammoth? But first I have a Vault-Tec gravship project and a wasteland biome on the go.
