Details
WeaponOut Lite is based on the original feature in WeaponOut before it become a content mod, focussing entirely on displaying held items. This version is just for the vanity effects.

Hey folks this is the original author of WeaponOut. A huge thank you to all the porters over the years who have managed to get these mods running in 1.4! This ISN'T WeaponOut with the content like the fist weapon subclass and all that wonderful stuff, but it IS WeaponOutLite rewritten from the ground up to make use of all of the wonderful features that 1.4 gave us. This includes arm animations, config menus and so on. And yes this is multiplayer compatible.

I don't have any major updates intended for this mod (it kinda does exactly what it needs to and nothing more), but I will be listening out for mod compatibilities - be sure to let me know (either here or in discussions) when you come across oddities, or just have suggestions. I'll be sure to read them eventually,

Hello, I’m a new mod developer. When I enable WeaponOut Lite in my mod, I encounter some issues. Almost all CustomSwingSword-type weapons (with held projectile, noUseGraphic, noMelee, and useStyle = ItemUseStyleID.Shoot) are being recognized as spears. Is it possible for me to make some adaptations in my mod so that these kinds of weapons can be correctly identified as swords by your mod?

im having some odd issue and im really unsure whats going wrong,the mod just seems to ignore any ranger weapons ive added to the config/make changes in the config about,and they all refuse to go into their idle states no matter what i change it too, they always permanently out,advice?

Hey any idea how to solve problem with calamity/overhaul? What i mean by that is that whhenever i hold somekind of weapon holding it on the background makes it double, like there are 2 weapons stacked on eachother, same when swinging one weapon is in use and other that souldnt be there is chilling on the back of my spine lol any way to fix that?

hopewe get alternative hold tome, that the players holds it with the item to the front, would be kinda useful using it on axes

So.. how exactly are you actually supposed to enable compatibility with Terraria Overhaul? The discussion thread just says "toggle" then so and so, and I'm not really sure what that actually means.

Neither config actually seems to line up with this, both crash my game when selected (this particular issue is on my end, it's the Custom Race mod that's doing this number) and Overhaul only at most has an option to disable always holding out the ranged weapon.

Disabling this does not actually fix Weapon Out, mind -- it just makes me not hold bows at all. I am almost positive I'm missing something, probably something obvious. But what? I've searched the menus over and over and cannot find anything.

Any ideas? I may be legally blind.

I tried using a topaz staff with this mod and Terraria Overhaul. The staff didn't show up when idle in-game, only in the character viewer. I don't know if it's been mentioned before or if it happens with other staffs, but a fix would be awesome. Love this mod :happymeat:

version 2.0.2 Tiny miniscule update + signs of life:

managed to get some free time this weekend to fix a long standing missing feature from the original, check some compatibility and work through the backlog of bugs and things you've all found.

* You can now right click the eye icon to quickly change how an item is being held without going straight into the configs.

* Updated the help text for terraria overhaul to reflect new config screen
