Hello, I’m a new mod developer. When I enable WeaponOut Lite in my mod, I encounter some issues. Almost all CustomSwingSword-type weapons (with held projectile, noUseGraphic, noMelee, and useStyle = ItemUseStyleID.Shoot) are being recognized as spears. Is it possible for me to make some adaptations in my mod so that these kinds of weapons can be correctly identified as swords by your mod?

im having some odd issue and im really unsure whats going wrong,the mod just seems to ignore any ranger weapons ive added to the config/make changes in the config about,and they all refuse to go into their idle states no matter what i change it too, they always permanently out,advice?

Hey any idea how to solve problem with calamity/overhaul? What i mean by that is that whhenever i hold somekind of weapon holding it on the background makes it double, like there are 2 weapons stacked on eachother, same when swinging one weapon is in use and other that souldnt be there is chilling on the back of my spine lol any way to fix that?

hopewe get alternative hold tome, that the players holds it with the item to the front, would be kinda useful using it on axes

So.. how exactly are you actually supposed to enable compatibility with Terraria Overhaul? The discussion thread just says "toggle" then so and so, and I'm not really sure what that actually means.

Neither config actually seems to line up with this, both crash my game when selected (this particular issue is on my end, it's the Custom Race mod that's doing this number) and Overhaul only at most has an option to disable always holding out the ranged weapon.

Disabling this does not actually fix Weapon Out, mind -- it just makes me not hold bows at all. I am almost positive I'm missing something, probably something obvious. But what? I've searched the menus over and over and cannot find anything.

Any ideas? I may be legally blind.

I tried using a topaz staff with this mod and Terraria Overhaul. The staff didn't show up when idle in-game, only in the character viewer. I don't know if it's been mentioned before or if it happens with other staffs, but a fix would be awesome. Love this mod :happymeat:

version 2.0.2 Tiny miniscule update + signs of life:

managed to get some free time this weekend to fix a long standing missing feature from the original, check some compatibility and work through the backlog of bugs and things you've all found.

* You can now right click the eye icon to quickly change how an item is being held without going straight into the configs.

* Updated the help text for terraria overhaul to reflect new config screen

Hey Kirby amazing, one thing I dont manage to configure is the one for overhaul gun animations. evven with the mod enable and the vanilla setting off.

idk if the reason that is happening is because of the textures i'm using, but sometimes when i'm using certain poses, like two hand hold, parts of the character armor disappear

Absolutely amazing Mod, but whenever i use items from the inventory or craft / buy large stacks it lags significantly. Is there any fix for this or is my PC just ♥♥♥♥♥ ? Thanks in Advance, any Help would be appreciated !

Any chance of adding X/Y offsets to the manual override entries to nudge things into position that don't quite line up right
its not compatible with aiming weapons while terraria overhaul is on

Small, tiny request for whenever you get back on your feet to have the weapons be in a separate mod, I really like the weapons, especially the Megumin reference, but I don't really want the display part, if not perfectly fine, it's your decision!

I am not involved in the [WIP] WeaponOut Port you are referring to, but you should be able to toggle which mod you want to use the item drawing from. The only mods I'm currently aware of where that's not possible are ArmamentDisplay and CoolerItemVisualEffect

I can look into it at some point but i can't promise anything at the moment sorry!

Maybe it might happen one day. At the moment a very kind soul is helping me port my expeditions mod, but I am between jobs right now, looking for work - once that's settled down I should be able to find time to pick back up on modding :steamhappy:

Could you separate the customization options for normal/free state actions for each type of weapon or attack in the two-column configuration options? This will facilitate higher degree of customization.
When using MOD weapons, i can also use any posture i want
(because currently customizing actions for MOD weapons only retains normal actions, no attack actions)

My friends reinstalled it and it worked its some issue with the older versions or smthn. I'm guessing it just didn't update for them.

I cannot replicate that issue on my end, but that is also because I cannot test running two clients on different versions of the same mod - My advice is to update the mod to latest. I will push out a hotfix to hide the item display for this scenario.

I also get that visual bug where my friends held item is floating around my cursor, just a heads up.
