Dwarven Rune Crafting Overhaul

Description
This mod adds all craftable banner runes of the dwarves as unit upgrade for all dwarf factions. You can upgrade all your units in an army with banner runes now.

This mod implements a new system which makes it possible to upgrade your units with runes (banners) with the unit purchasables system (like the one used for the orcs).
Every unit can be upgraded with a rune, that cost oathgold. You don't need any banners anymore.

Banner Runes still can be crafted and it is recommend to install the following mod alongside mine: FFTweaks - Remove Banner Runes .

AI is not affected.

Compatibility
- You need to start a new game to get the unlimited crafting of runes.
- Built-in Compatibilty for the units of the following mods:
All other unit mods need a comp patch for upgrade system access.

Recommendation
The following mod disables the craftable banner runes all together, like originally intended by my mod
FFTweaks - Remove Banner Runes

Known Problems
- Some Runes do not work together (like Rune of Burning and Rune of Seeking)
- Flame Cannons may break if using with banner runes (Vanilla Bug)
- Rune upgrades may disable malakais adventurers units special abilities

I simply add the effect from the banner rune. Everything that works or do not work with the vanilla banner runes will do the same with this mod.

@Zamiel @Gagak I am pretty sure this also applies to the vanilla banner with the effect? If so this is a bug I can not fix

Runes don't seem to apply correctly to dwarf engineer(hand mortar, not hero) unit in SFO mode

Hey, all runes are exclusive. Only one rune can be applied. That said you can still use the normal banner runes to get another effect. (Check recommendations for removing the vanilla banner runes) I removed all changes to the usual rune crafting. Other mods that change this should be compatible (like unlimited rune crafting).
Runes of Karaz Ankor was compatible but a lot changed in the last patches, so I am not sure anymore. Just note that my runes are exclusive, so there can not be any other rune applied for the same unit.
Hello nullmana, I've just stumbled upon your mod and i have a few questions that could maybe included in some sorts of FAQ for the description page.

Can multiple rune upgrades be applied to the same unit (excluding not compatible runes) ? If so, is there an increasing oathgold cost to the consecutive upgrades ?

What are the modification to the usual rune crafting ? Is it altered ? Like craft several times the same runes ? I've seen you recently made a change about it but i wanted to be sure.

Also it is probably not compatible with the somewhat similar mod "Runes of the Karaz Ankor - Unit Upgrades for the Dwarfs" ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=2861146358 ), right ?

found a small bug with Dwarf Cannons on my malakai campaign (the non-adventure ones) where you can apply the explosive + leadership debuff rune or the +armor piercing rune but the effects dont apply.

the +20% ranged dmg rune + aoe and the +large dmg + homing seems to work fine.

Tested and above mentioned runes work fine on all other artillery units, its just the cannons.

Funnily enough the 3 adventure cannons (they are apparantly not the same) you get as malakai DO apply the bonus correctly for the 2 non-working runes, might be a hint there.
