This mod is no longer being updated.
However, there is an overhaul in progress that plans to reimagine this entire mod with new unique sprites, better lore, better encounter design, and more!
Since the overhaul changes absolutely EVERYTHING, it is going to be uploaded as an entirely separate mod, allowing players to keep this version to preserve universes.
Again, please note: I will not be updating this version anymore. Even if there are still bugs or overlooked features.

Angels were created by the Cultivator to protect the many different races of Starbound. Although their purpose is to save and protect everyone, sometimes they do not get along with the races they are supposed to protect. Stuck in their "high-and-mighty attitude" while being completely oblivious about social norms, Angels are..interesting, to say the least. They have strong, negative opinions about Humans and Florans but adore Avians.

Just as the Ruin destroyed Earth when it came back, it is also 'destroying' Angels. Using its destructive power, it is turning the Cultivator's creations against themselves. This includes Angels. Their Holy Power is taken from them, leaving them a maddening, sick husk of a being. Please beware, traveler, of the Ruined..
Without the Cultivator to control them, will the Angels continue to spiral out of control?

You will need a race extender for this to show up!
You can pick from any extender you want! Xbawks Character Extender is a really good example!
If you use Frackin' Universe, however, you do not need an extender. One is already built into FU.

Super excited for the overhaul, but this mod is incredible on its' own.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but this mod seems to spawn way too many of the ruin poptops and fennix, it seems to be blocking out spawns for frackin universe mobs. Is there any way I can modify the spawn rates? Really trying to farm fleshleeches, but all I find are the ruin mobs.

idk if its just the mods im using but if its base mod will the angels still have beef with the fragment of ruin species?

If I may, I could suggest the idea that the ships and buildings of the angels look more cosmic rather than the stereotipical heaven, since if we account the angels of the bible they are really cosmic and otherwordly, perhaps we could have something similar to the Ancients, but otherwise in the end do what you consider better for the mod.

Also I know I need to repeat that I am so hyped that you would renable the final tier of weapons from vanilla races, it would be so cool to use the aegisalt bow again, and now with an angel, and perhaps we could see a heavenly variant.

You are doing a great job with this mod and we will like it a lot when its released.

Oh yeah, I'm absolutely going to do that. When the new mod goes up, this'll go unlisted, but the new mod link will be in the description.
And well, being unlisted means you can't search it or find it in my workshop list anymore, so it's purely for the people already subscribed.

Mod page has been updated with the new info, and suggestion/bug threads are now locked. I also most likely won't be responding to comments anymore.
As of right now, the separate overhaul mod version is about... 30% or so complete?

No problem , tbh i prefer that , because it was totaly possible i wouldnt play the game for 6+ month so maybe i would miss the legacy thingy , then screw my universe haha
