@The Jiggly Walrus: As I see it, the reduction of stats that potentiate magic is a way to balance it. If this mod were about raising mage related stats and at the same time giving bonuses to mana gain and regeneration through booze, it will be overpowered.
If you want to pick this skill tree, you need to consider that your magic would be a little weaker but it will let you shoot more spells.
Still, if you do not like the reduction, you can use this skill tree with a Warrior/Mage hybrid to increase the number of times you can cast a spell, since hybrids tend to have less MP.

Whats the point of subtracting mage stats but adding strength when the skills are all about booze and only mages really need that. This is kinda redundant if you ask me.

It seemed a bit too much compared to other spells that are more devastating with a single hit, these "curses" are mean to be used on singled enemies (probably bosses and mini bosses) so, it was pointless to limits their use in that way.

Thanks for the feedback, I tested the mod but I never got enough time to test them intensively.

Nice! :)

I reduced the MP required for the active spells :)
faustomartense  [author] 31 Oct, 2012 @ 5:17pm
The MP cost is high but the spells are spamables, if you have enough MP you can bear curse as many times as you want, and the damage is stackable.

Anyway, I am going to test it a little more... maybe I can reduce the MP cost but add a cooldown.

Seems like a nice skill, but MP costs for the active spells are too high... :/

I wouldn't know where to start coding. I may just have to team up with someone who is willing to take my ideas and such and make them real.

The gambler: Useful and dangerous. Sounds like a nice concept. If you have any problem with the coding, do not hesitate to ask me or in the Gaslamp Forums :) I learned a lot from them.

I'll see what i can do. One of the ideas I have been playing with is a skill set idea called ;"The Gambler" It would come with items such as throwing cards and exploding dice. etc.

Thanks Tavolletta :) I added the mod there (also the corresponding link)

wpb30635 I like all your ideas, these are very cool :) The coding can be tricky some times, but people in Gaslamp Forums are always willing to help. Do you want to draw the pictures for these two items? :)
Tavoletta 29 Sep, 2012 @ 2:48am
Very cool idea, you should post this also on the gaslamp forums, for more visibility.

I've been thinking about some other items. Guiness Green Beer. A trinket called the Blarney Stone. ideas are not a problem for me, but implementation is a pain.

My bad. I re-googled "Irish shillelagh" and this time, I got the correct one : ) It is indeed a mace type weapon.

Possible description: "Great for walking and hiking, fending off thugs in the pub or just poking around for gold hoarding leprechauns!"

The dropping of gold on hit or kill is very easy to implement, the luck will be a little trickier... it can have a chance to cast Lucky Find or a dodge boosting buff. Maybe it can cause a debuff on the enemy, "Lead Poison" since it is filled with lead...

Actually a real shillelagh is a mace type weapon. The ends were hollowed out and filled with lead to make them hurt more. What I had wanted to do was have it occasionally drop gold when it kills also have it buff in a way that they get luckier.

Wow. That wand looks really good :) Did you want it to be a wand (if yes, which spell will fit the theme?) or a staff type weapon?
wpb30635 26 Sep, 2012 @ 12:02pm
let me try that again. http://pastelink.me/dl/2a72fd

@wpb30635: That would be really cool. It will be a great honor to be able to use your awesome art in my mod.

Also, the problem with your coding was because of in-game limitations or something else? I am not a genius at modding but I can give it a look if you want.
wpb30635 24 Sep, 2012 @ 2:32pm
i actually tried to create a Shillelagh but could not get the coding right. however i did do some decent artwork fo it. if you want it you can have it.
