adding the health and damage multiplier to 6×hp and 2×atk with a second mod was definitely an idea
i can now proudly say that i needed T8 arcana item and an hour of retries to hope beating this :D

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I remember setting the ruin biome to threat level 10 so it might not matter.

Might be a good idea to make more difficult ruin mods that take the ideas and concepts of the comments here and put them into seperate difficult ruin mods. For example, have a difficult ruin mod that focuses on making the boss' minions stronger for those who like group fights more while having another difficult ruin mod that makes the boss itself stronger but weakens the minions for a more 1v1 focused fight

I think this is probably a bit too strong, you die in seconds with the best possible gear and can't kill the monsters faster than they spawn

You're not fighting the actual monster, just the heart, so it makes perfect sense that it should be around it's current health

Well you simply avoid the beam in that case, quite frankly it's not that hard. Having to shoot at a static object for 3 hours on the other hand is simply tedious.

Your right! Make it's laser beam instantly kill you! I prefer fighting the ruin for 3 goddamn hours than being oneshotted by the beam, so what do you prefer. Cyber?

@Mjesalica, just because the boss takes 3 hours to kill doesn't make it any more difficult it's just making it into a damage sponge that can't kill you and which you can't kill fast enough

But i'm thinkking that you realy need to up the health and not lower it.
I mean... Come on! You are fighting a planet sized monster!
that fight needs to be long af and if you want to feel op with a lot of damage build than keep the minions unchanged.
You can squish them like bugs but the boss needs a lot of effort.

I have some ideas:
Lower the health to 12000
And decrease the attack pause time or just totally delete it,(Theres a pause between every attack.)and multiple attacks can be deployed at the same time.
It can also summon more minions, the eye laser's indicator time shrinks down to 0.8~1 second, and buff the Ruin's Minion Flight Speed.

Idk if this is possible, but a new minion type:
It acts like those Erchius-Infested Monsters, but retextured into an Tentacle-Infested Zombie. Its attack is completely identical to those Erchius Zombie, but with more health and more damage.

THANK FUCKING GOD!!! The ruin on its own the ruin is just a shitty midway boss that is WAY TO EASY if u have a good plantfibre farm!!! thankyou soooo much. but i have some suggestions, giving it new attacks, making its attack HELLA strong.also maybe giving the ruin more then just one wimpy stage?! and maybe giving Asra Nox some cool new moves, and more then one stage?


BUT those are my suggestiongs, its probably rlly hard to code that stuff but im just putting it on the table. sorry if im pressuring...

have 50000 hp version? it would be perfect for hard mode server. yeah if you still modding im waiting your new boss difficult changer mod. yeah i like this mod but i feel not enough my friend think the ruin is easy with tier 6 armor and mods weapons.

this shuld be good for me cos i got mods that got op weppons and hopefully this stabalizes the battle outcome from the battle lasting 5 seconds to 1 min :/

Geez, all the down syndrome comments over here. Seriously guys, some of you seem to just be dissing and bashing the mod expecting the creator to have the time and patience to create new sprite artwork and coding for different attacks. And yes while more moves COULD make the boss more difficult, it's also a *fact* that more health and damage would do so aswell.

It's called /Starbound/ not Dark Souls, and it's a 2D game not 3D. Just give it time and maybe the creator or another modder will have the skill and time to add more attacks for the final boss.

Can we do this with all bosses, to be honest all of them seem rather simple, like maybe a second phase to the ech.(can't spell the rest) horror, or maybe just more patterns.

This is not making the boss hard, it's jsut making it even more boring, having a boss with 10 billion health and insta kill attacks doesn't make it hard if it only does extremly easy to dodge attacks that are on the same looping pattern.

Take dark souls for example what makes the bosses hard is their unique attack patterns which they use depending on the position of the player and not the fact they have more health than you do.
