Is there a way to do it for the Kitsune Race?

Yeah, it doesn't actually touch the ship files, just tells the game to load a different one for Hylotls.

Hmm I guess it only works for the actual race and not the Kitsune race even though it uses the Hylotl ship sorry

Just checked, it's still working for me.

At the title screen, click gear button in the bottom right corner and make sure "Human Ship for Hylotl" is in the list of mods. If you subscribed to it while the game was running, you have to restart the game for the mod to be loaded. Also, a ship upgrade has to be triggered for the ship to become the human one.

Doesn't work as of current Starbound version but nice idea anyways
