can you do a thing to make the military sniper into a rifle (like making it fully auto)

Have you restarted your game?
Have you checked if it's enabled?
Is it conflicting with any other mod?
Please be aware that damage is not controlled by this mod. It is controlled by a console command. So, it's just a really easy-to-spam grenade launcher

@Meruzmi Luckily for me, I figured out a way to manually set the ammo reserves. I also found another script mod that does basically what I first requested for. Thank you for making the script though.

So after rummaging around the game files, there was a huge. HUGE problem
Ammo reserve is not controlled by script files, which would mean I have to change another file, and I don't want it to have a chance in hell to conflict
And then there's the damage.

@Meruzmi I should probably mention that I would need this for my server. My server has a ton of things that change how the game works. I do know that the damage can be modified via gamemode files, supposedly (something like that).
Wouldn't be pointless for my server though since some tanks have 30k hp.
If you don't want to do it, that's fine, but it would be nice if you could do it.

If you still don't want to do it, could you perhaps modify the mp5 by making it deal 20 damage and have it shoot 2x as fast with the magazine capacity being 130. Don't change the ammo reserve though.

Would do that but it's kind of pointless
If I DID make that, it would bring the same result if you used the NORMAL launcher, use it 4 times only, and dumped it
Damage isn't modified by the script file (for GLauncher's case), because it's a rather.. unique weapon
And the ammo thing.. you already know why I said you should just use it 4 times and dump it.

Make a script that modifies the grenade launcher.
Give it 1 shot per grenade.
Make the ammo reserve 4.
Have the damage as 6000.

If you're saying to make a sniper look like the SCAR (but semi-auto) then that's possible, but grabbing scope feature and putting it on another weapon is a different story, I don't think it's possible, but if someone knows, feel free to tell me how, I'm happy to learn

what about using a scope srcipt from a sniper rifle? unless that wouldnt work.

I could make a script that would make the SG552 (Yes, that Counter-Strike weapon) turn into the SCAR-L (Desert Rifle). But the problem would be finding the gun in the game unless you've a mod to get it
Also it would become full auto.

sorry about that, i didnt know how much would have to be done to do a mod like that. ive got other ideas, but i dont know how much work would be done to do any of them.
One of them simply being a scope zoom for the desert rifle. i have a halo 3 battle rifle as my desert rifle, and having a scope zoom script for it would be useful.

Sorry, not exactly possible for me, Also, mind you, explosive upgrade makes the radius bigger (slightly) while the incendiary ignites the things it hits so unless I code an entire god damn game mod or something similar, it's not possible

TL;DR = I can't do that with a simple mod like this one

could you possibly make a mod where the explosive upgrade for the grenade launcher is a scatter bomb after initial impact, and the incendiary upgrade produce a small pool of fire, like napalm?

I am pretty sure that it doesn't work that way.. And you may as well go to RG_Predators Grenade Launcher MK IV if you want 27000 dmg (I still think it doesn't work that way)

Okay.. Thank you for telling me what THAT does, but I'd rather not mess with gamemodes.txt's and all that since all I want to do is just apply extra buffs/nerfs to current weapons, not screw around with other txts in case I mess up something

The damage value actually is a damage multiplier. If you want do edit the grenade launcher's damage, you need to edit the gamemodes.txt.

I'm not sure what the dmg value does, so I edited for the heck of it in the case it does anything.

There is no sense in editing the grenade launcher's damage values, as it doesn't work this way.
It is also completely impossible to change the firing mode of any weapon in Left 4 Dead 2.

I'm just thinking on the top of my head, magnum with low damage but increased fire rate (or automatic) xd
