Can you make it so you can craft them anywhere. If you have played morrowind you know crossbows were not some mythical creation. I don't know why Bethesda ever took them out of the main game but, many random enemys spawned with them and you could buy them from just about any weapon shop or pawnbroker. I have a mods installed that gives guards stormcloaks and bandits a chance to spawn with crossbows and, would be a better fit if they could be made anywhere and not just the Legendary Skyforge. But other then that spot on mod.

The original quest is pretty buggy, so it's a good mod for us Good Guy types that get hosed.

Thank you so much for this mod, I became a vampire lord the second I got the chance but didn't realize I wouldn't be able to get the improved crossbows and bolts, this mod is one of my favorite non-quest mods.

Oh god can't thank you enough for this, when I joined vampires I wasn't aware that I lost the chance to have the ability to smith bolts.

(Again, this comment contains some spoilers)
Well, as I said, I don't feel like learning how to make radiant quests, and I don't feel like messing with original chest contents either. I might put the blueprints next to Auriels bow, though. Or to some other place.
Until then, you'll have to be content with being able to smith it without quest, sorry.
MukiRuleZ 9 Aug, 2012 @ 2:22pm
@ryowyn
could you add the blueprints to random chests than have a quest that simply marks them as quest markers?
Weiglgasse  [author] 8 Aug, 2012 @ 4:01pm
Sorry, but I don't think I'll take the time to copy the quest, I lack knowledge on NPC dialogues and I have no voice actor or anything, so the only possible thing would be putting the blueprints somewhere you go to during the end of the vampire questline, and making it so that you can smith it once you have them.
MukiRuleZ 8 Aug, 2012 @ 3:52pm
@ryowyn
it would be great if you would balance it a bit
Its was really ennoying finding out that my freinds can be VL and craft cool crossbows and i can be only VL
Maybe you can add a npc that gives a quest for the VL, in the quest you need to go and steal the blueprints before dawnguard can get to it
And another cool quest would be taming dawnguards trolls (maybe with some cool vampiric powers)

i loved the shivering isles in oblivian and thanks for the info itll be a good mod once i get dawngaurd
Weiglgasse  [author] 8 Aug, 2012 @ 11:34am
I am thinking of changing this mod so that you only get access after recieving a certain weapon(trying not to spoil) at the end of the main DLC questline, for example by adding a book where you find it that enables the smithing.
What do you think?

And, @bddog99: Yes, you do... this has got to be my favourite DLC (after Shivering Isles, which will rule supreme until they get lazy and remake it for Skyrim)

works well, good job
bddog99 8 Aug, 2012 @ 4:48am
crap i really need dawngaurd
Weiglgasse  [author] 7 Aug, 2012 @ 8:17pm
Yes, it does, I don't think they would allow their DLC-content to be added in a free mod... no, my mod just changes the requirements.
bddog99 7 Aug, 2012 @ 6:29pm
dose it require dawngaurd
CTWombat 7 Aug, 2012 @ 5:26pm
lol
Weiglgasse  [author] 7 Aug, 2012 @ 4:39pm
Well, that depends on the circumstances of his death, but I'm sure wikipedia can help you out with any information about burial rites and decomposing dead bodies.
From now on, only mod-related questions please.
