Any updates on the damage script fix?
SwordShaman 28 Nov, 2018 @ 12:10pm
The damage script doesn't seem to be working for me. I've sat on the surface of Urna in survival for ten minutes now without a scratch (to personal astronaut standing on surface or to small grid ship parked nearby). I've attempted to delete the local files and redownload the planet, but I get the same thing. Any suggestions?

Also, I should note that I'm playing your Fentaarie System 2.0 with only the mods enabled that it had on first load (skybox and all the planets).
Dr.Dangerous 7 Sep, 2018 @ 9:56pm
I ask because there was a time when the damage script used for pretty much every planet that had any sort of environmental damage was broken. I've been away from the internet for about half a year, so I'm catching up. Guess I'll try to work out what I'm doing wrong.
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 12:05pm
@Dr.Dangerous They weren't broken, what ever the issue is it would seem to be on your side.
Dr.Dangerous 5 Sep, 2018 @ 11:50am
Are the damage scripts working again DJL66?

Not sure why so many mod planets are just all asteroid voxels then. Weird.
[TFJA] DJL66 2 Sep, 2018 @ 6:51pm
@Doctor Octoganapus I had this plannet in my pvp world and i made my base on it with shields that regend fast in a dome around it as an under ground bunker my friend who i was against tryed to attack no knowing the plannet was acidc and his entire fleet for plannet ships melted xD
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 2 Sep, 2018 @ 6:11pm
@Dr.Dangerous Its fine for me
Dr.Dangerous 2 Sep, 2018 @ 5:07am
It's all asteroid rocks :(
[TFJA] DJL66 10 Feb, 2018 @ 1:10pm
lol and you underestimate my supercarrier and fighters
idk about you but when a fighter can tank a shot from a mac cannon cuz of its sheilds being that high im sure toxic could not scratch it
Talon 10 Feb, 2018 @ 5:20am
Yep shield will counter, but your ship will be covered by red shells )))
Love this planets, its work better than lava planets. My server havnt platinum. I put this planet with DensePlatinum Ore and said to my players: if need platinum go on toxic planet))
[TFJA] DJL66 17 Oct, 2017 @ 12:55pm
will the shield mod counter the damage?
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 3:33pm
@Spicy Cat Not encountering that on my end.
Sutixela 10 Sep, 2017 @ 12:35pm
my game crash everytime I add a blueprint into the planet, even if it is a very small fighter
GudTaters 10 Jul, 2017 @ 9:25pm
Grids will be protected by shields correct? If so, how long do the shields last? I prefer Cython's shields, which I know WILL lose power with exaustive use. Will the shields eventually fail, or is the acid damage light enough that the shields can keep up?
Spock The Builder 4 Jul, 2017 @ 7:45am
@Daemonoreos Aren't planets added in by mods...?
Drackon 1 Jul, 2017 @ 5:06pm
@Doctor Octoganapus I figured out the problem. thought it was a planet. Nope. Mod. didn't check the mods before I started trying to use it. Thank you for the help!
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 1 Jul, 2017 @ 12:25pm
@Daemonoreos Its located in your %appdata%\SpaceEngineers folder under mods.
Drackon 1 Jul, 2017 @ 11:56am
@Doctor Octoganapus I am not finding that file, maybe it didnt download properly?
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 4:20pm
@Daemonoreos The .sbm files are labeled by mod id. The mod id is the large number in the url for the mod page. So this mods local file is 847286396.sbm
Drackon 30 Jun, 2017 @ 2:56pm
@Doctor Octoganapus I can't tell what file it is, it's not in a mod folder, and there is a lot of .sbm files, what should i do?
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 2:47pm
@Daemonoreos Use the shift+f10 menu, if the planet does not show then delete the .sbm for the mod.
Drackon 30 Jun, 2017 @ 12:12pm
So, I can't figure out how to spawn this in, can I get some help? it's not appearing in the Planet Spawn, and it's not a map, and i have some ships I would LOVE to use this on
Spock The Builder 1 Feb, 2017 @ 9:26pm
Here is a safe hangar, with light shields to show damage being done and keep the hangar safe. I'll also test how wel it works without shields.

The small ship has no damage while inside, even witht he hangar doors open.

@LeadfootSlim Yes, and Yes.
LeadfootSlim 28 Jan, 2017 @ 9:52am
Hey Doc! Question: does this version of the acid rain respect hangar pressurization? Also curious if it harms players or not.
Greyson XMG 23 Jan, 2017 @ 12:20pm
So... Trim back the rock overhead? I'll give it a try.
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 23 Jan, 2017 @ 7:10am
@Greyson XMG After doing a bit of testing it would appear that blocks that are over 50% in the voxel will be affected and only if they are on top however blocks that are not over 50% in voxel appear to be fine and remain undamaged.

Ok... attempted to build a base hidden under voxels in this world.

I did it with Block damage turned off, during construction. I turned block damage on, and the whole thing started taking damage.

This small base is tucked way back under a mountain. and it is not safe from the rain.

Does the damage script need tweaking? Or did I miss something in the discription above?
Greyson XMG 22 Jan, 2017 @ 7:22pm
I was looking for a way to do that as well. Slider isn't exact.
Merc 22 Jan, 2017 @ 3:00pm
Oh I was already aware, I thought there was a way to enter exact measurements by typing it in a field.
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 22 Jan, 2017 @ 2:19pm
@Merc With the slider in the shift+f10 menu.
Merc 22 Jan, 2017 @ 10:24am
How do I spawn a planet with the specifc size? I can never get it exactly right.
StrelokFreeman 22 Jan, 2017 @ 8:23am
Hey Doctor Octoganapus! It would be neat if you made a "homeworld of the Space Pirates", where Space Pirates drones will begin to spawn if you are too close. If you do decide to make a planet like this, you shoul call it "Majorian" and make it very dense in resources (After all, it IS the Space Pirate homeworld). The planet would also have a breathable atmosphere and low gravity (Low gravity is easier for Space Pirates to take off from). This would also provide an explanation to where the Space Pirates come from. I think this would be an interesting idea for a planet. ;)
Greyson XMG 21 Jan, 2017 @ 10:03pm
I got it. I nuked open a HUGE hole.. IT was, for whatever reason, too big.

Crawled inside a small hole and presto.. Protection.
Greyson XMG 21 Jan, 2017 @ 9:31pm
I'll try agian and report back to you.
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 21 Jan, 2017 @ 9:26pm
@Greyson XMG Send me a pic of whats happening because I'm completely fine under ground.
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 21 Jan, 2017 @ 9:24pm
@Greyson XMG Its working fine for me.
Greyson XMG 21 Jan, 2017 @ 9:22pm
FYI: I just did a test. Being underground offered me no protection.
Greyson XMG 21 Jan, 2017 @ 8:44pm
IF KEEN ever develops some kind of variable weather, the rain might not need to be invisable.
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 21 Jan, 2017 @ 8:08pm
@Greyson XMG Depends on the armor but you can dig a cave to protect your ships when not in use.
Greyson XMG 21 Jan, 2017 @ 6:26pm
I was worried that this line of planetary effects was dead! Nice to know I was wrong.

I suppose the next question is: How long will armor reasonably last exposed?

Light Armor/Heavy Armor? .... Big Block/ Small Block?
Doctor Octoganapus  [author] 21 Jan, 2017 @ 4:30pm
@Dank Beluga @johnnyh5 Yes you are safe under voxels and armor.
FrenchWave 21 Jan, 2017 @ 4:26pm
I was about to ask the same question.....
Dank Beluga 21 Jan, 2017 @ 4:17pm
Awesome, nice to have a planet with a different type of challenge. One question, does the acidic rain effect damage things that are underneath voxels? For example if I were to dig a tunnel underground with rock above me, would I still be effected? (I did notice the "you will want to stay in cover" part, but I assume that means cover under blocks?)
