@Aki It just allows the player to play the non select-able minor factions otherwise the game still is the same. So in your case it sounds like it wouldn't be useful. Just some variety for players that want to start in a different location, different banner etc

I'm still clueless as to what this mod actually does. So it unlocks all the factions but is it supposed to be only for the non playable factions? I mainly play Beastmen and now each lord has it's own faction but does that mean the AI will take the other lords that I haven't picked? I don't get what benefits I get if I still just play the regular factions that I can normally get either way.

I'm not trying to be offensive I'm just asking about it because I have no idea what it does :lunar2019piginablanket:

The empire factions unlocker does not work, when i launch the game the only faction i am able to choose is empire not even orks or any other, these mods need a hefty update

i found it worked so long as you only use most of the faction packs otherwise there are too many and you cannot select some of them

Not sure what would not work about Radious as I usually don't recommend his mods, tended to always work fairly well though. As for extra slots, my unlocker has a link to an appropriate submod for that.

I have Radious and your unlocker installed. it works fine together, but how can i force radious' mods to work. Intrested in 10 slots capitals. Well its a pain to have main city with 6 slots.

You most likely had some weird conflicting mod active together with these. Try running it without any others active and then activate others again one by one.

Well, then you clearly have a different mod interfering. Try running just the Unlocker+ and one of these mods and then activate yours others one by one afterwards.

Having trouble getting any of this to work. It says on the Fcaction selection screen that I need at least one submod for it to work, which I have. I've tried three different submods on the list, but the same problem keeps happening.

Well, then simply grab PFM as well as the vanilla, empire and mixed mods, find the table where all of the factions are listed and copypaste them together from these into one file how you want.

Every race has a generic type of rebel that can spawn and every faction that died can respawn as a rebel faction in their home territory. I don't intend to make the generic rebels playable as that would not make much sense, be interesting or worth the time investment and all other factions are already playable, offering more than enough choice.

What rebels do you mean? I already made the Empire Secessionists, Templehof and Sarthorael playable, the only real rebel factions in Warhammer.

Sorry, was too busy with other things and forgot about this question.
The Steel Faith compatibility patch exists since a while and should work fine soonish assuming the SFO guys get around to update it for Norsca. (though the core unlocker doesn't work yet anyways)

Not really the way how I want to handle things and making such a separate startpos mod would be quite a lot of work as well, but it can be done fairly easily via scripts. I just hardly ever heard any requests for something like this.

Well, you most likely just have some obscure mod incompatibility.

Disable all of your mods via double clicking the Select All checkbox in the launcher and ONLY enable the unlocker and the faction selection submods, then it should work fine. Then just enable one mod after another and see which one causes the factions to vanish or change.

-With the basic and ALL the mods (except the last 2 on the list) i had just the vanilla factions in the grand campaign. The Wood Elf and Beastmen campaigns have full selection.

I tried doing the same thing with the Unlocker+ and got the same results. No combanation that ive tried has gotten my grand campaign to have anything but vanilla factions. I dont know why. Sorry to be a pain :P

With unsubscribing and resubscribing, deleting the mods in btw doing so, restarting the game upon every time a mod is added and i am still having no success. I am doing trial and error 1 by one with just having the basic version of the faction unlocker and various submods.

-With submod Empire, Kislev, Southern Realms the only choice available in grand campaign is vanilla Empire. The Wood Elf and Beastmen campaigns have full selection.

-With the submod Vampire, Chaos, Norsca, Beastmen mod i only can see vanilla Vampire Counts, Von Carstein, Chaos, and Warherd of the One Eye. 4 of the 16 shown in the picture. Wood Elf and Beastmen campaigns have full selection.

All you need is either the Basic OR the Plus version plus one or multiple of the faction submods here and you should see all of the factions enabled by these mods in both the Grand Campaign and the Mini Campaigns. If that is not the case, then you either have a faulty download (seems to be happening more commonly lately) and might need to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mods while starting and closing the launcher after each time - or you have a conflicting mod, although this is unlikely as mine tend to overwrite most of them.

Steel Faith should work fine with my Unlockers, although right now there apparently is an issue with it that they are working on fixing.

Ive just tried both the basic and the unlocker+ with just the vanilla, just the mixed faction, and all ones that list races as well as the vanilla and mixed faction and ended up with the same result everytime of it adding all races included in the wood elf and beastmen story campaigns, but no additional races for the grand campaign. Is there a combanation of submods i should be using to accomplish that? Ideally without losing access to the full races on the story campaigns.


Id like to try some of the big overhauls like steel faith or whatnot at somepoint too but i feel like id have the same problem.. Never ran a game with mods before. I already have quite a few mods going that are mostly aesthetic and small adjustments to campaign functionality, not sure if that is having anything to do with it

As for Vanilla factions, that is what the Vanilla Factions submod in this list is for - you can combine as many of these submods together as you want and they work with either the Basic or the Plus Unlocker, I just can't list both of them as required mods as that would create even more confusion.

Ive been trying to get one of these faction unlockers to work for a couple weeks.. I dont want an overhaul of any kind, just access to a few more factions. I tried to do the faction unlocker basic with the mixed faction submod but the mixed faction demands the unocker+. I dont wish to lose the vanilla factions or to have to switch mods to start a different campaign. Please help me

I had to remove them as a bugfix as they will not appear properly in the diplomacy screen due to them being customizable. CA has some hardcoded bits for their existing lords that make them work correctly, but as we modders can't modify that it results in a pretty damn bugged diplomacy screen which looks terrible and received a lot of complaints.

Also, if I were to make the current faction leaders to have the same names as the actual legendary lords, you would have two of them and it wouldn't make much sense either.

love this, but any chance you will add the old faction leader names back, playing as kraka drak or tiliea and not having thorgard or catrazza as the faction leader really bugs me

That is not possible, just deactivate some of the submods or find the continue button hidden among the greenskins.
