Is there another mod I need to install to enable the full use of this increased targeting range?
Otherwise very cool mod. All the railguns sound awesome when they fire. :)
As far as modding the file for your singleplayer game it doesn't impact the actual workshop mod so feel free.
Tomorrow is a clear day for me so I can up it a tad until its somewhere I like.
The USS Iowa had 16" (406mm) guns that turned at a rate of 4 degrees per second, or around 75 seconds for a full 360 degree turn. These are built to respect the awesome power of these huge guns with an equally huge turn radius, albeit much faster firing rate.
The system for making projectiles (visually) is kinda lacklustre right now.

but i dont like the plattforms/sockets the turrets r mounted on.
they r to big for me. i like it to build those "bases" by my self with the typical standard blocks.

I'm not sure how coloring these things works, but I can take a look into it.
Secondly, I'd certianly buff the performance of this 400mm. Only a 4k ranage makes the MexPex Coilgun outclass it hard core. I'm kind've mixed about the duel gun line up. It makes me excited to see things like 18 inch 2 or 3 guns battle ship Rail Gun and Guass Cannon turrets, but the current one doesn't feel like a full size BB or CA or CB turret. It kind'a feels DD-ish, almost as if each cannon should fire individually in order to gain doulbe the fire rate, half the burst damage but the same over DPM. What do you think?
But, the original creator should have final say. From what they have said on their workshop entry, they have zero intention to bring it back and as such I think I'm in the clear.
I'll work on it and see what happens.
Except that little issue, this is a really great addition. I really like the design:)
