Can't seem to get this to work whenever i try to use it i can't find it all. I can find your other weapon mods but not this one. Great work on the other weapon mods btw.

Not sure about the targeting range. It seems to be a recurring problem.

I can't get any of your railgun turrets to target beyond 600m. I tried fitting one to a large ship and still wouldn't target beyond 600 meters. The slider goes up to 5km, but sliding it beyond 600m does nothing.

Is there another mod I need to install to enable the full use of this increased targeting range?

Otherwise very cool mod. All the railguns sound awesome when they fire. :)

Thank you, and unfortunately it does not seem to, it had a ~45degree blind spot right behind it that even if you completely turned around was still there

It should support full 360 degree traverse along the horizontal axis.

As far as modding the file for your singleplayer game it doesn't impact the actual workshop mod so feel free.

Let me play around with it. They're still very much open to change. I might end up doubling the turn rate for the exact reason you state. I've just been busy doing other games for a bit. :P

Tomorrow is a clear day for me so I can up it a tad until its somewhere I like.

And think about this: in the future, wouldnt they of thought about turnrate and came up with some sort of anti-gravity turn thing

The balancing of the weapons is done with turn rates, elevation rates, and reload speeds. A dual 400mm gun isn't gonna turn too fast :P

The USS Iowa had 16" (406mm) guns that turned at a rate of 4 degrees per second, or around 75 seconds for a full 360 degree turn. These are built to respect the awesome power of these huge guns with an equally huge turn radius, albeit much faster firing rate.

You might be too close to your target. The bullets travel very fast and sometimes will bug out if the target is too close.

The system for making projectiles (visually) is kinda lacklustre right now.

When I fire the gun I hear the noise as if it's firing, however I don't see anything and it doesn't do any dmg to anything either.

The other turrets work great though, they target and fire at hostile ships.

Doesn't seem like it want's to target anything, had a hostile ship parked right next to my carrier inside the turrets firing arc and it did nothing. Yes I double checked the turrets setting it was claimed by me and set to fire at large ships.

@ColdAsIce It's ROF is technically 3000, but that's just so the two shots go out really quickly if you click. The reload time is 10s. So theoretically it's 2 shots every 10 seconds.

I can, I just need to find time outside of work. I'm writing a couple scripts for each of my turret / ship releases. The videos will be short (under 5m) and I only have windows movie maker so don't expect anything fancy.

But they'll come.

but i dont like the plattforms/sockets the turrets r mounted on.
they r to big for me. i like it to build those "bases" by my self with the typical standard blocks.

I love your work! What are the chances that I could talk you into modding a Yamato Gun from Starcraft 2 or a Wave Motion Gun from Starblazers? I'm building a Terran Battlecruiser and I need a BIG gun up front. Slow to charge, no traverse (mounted to the hull), massive power drain, huge damage and several KM range. I'm building it in Survival so components would be nice.

It's been so long since I did any modding for games, but texture wise I believe it has something to do with your Alpha layer. I looked at your screens and may screens and saw that for some reason, my game is just making your texture REALLY DAMNED DARK. Then I remembered.. oh yeah... I have that Pitch Black mod. THough even with my spot lights on the model, it's still pretty dark, nearly black. I am using this in the dev build and I'm wondering if that recent fix the material textures Keen did changed something. My turret texture looks way different that the screenies you have on here.

So had fun testing these things and I like their clean looks. There's a few suggestions though. One, make the texture colorable. The design is very clean and geometrically flat, making it perfect for contrast coloring. The current texture is extremely dark with not a lot of reflectivity. I would love to see the solid texture for the larger flat surfaces colorable, and the remaining surfaces an uncolorable light grey to really help the turrets pop and have depth.
Secondly, I'd certianly buff the performance of this 400mm. Only a 4k ranage makes the MexPex Coilgun outclass it hard core. I'm kind've mixed about the duel gun line up. It makes me excited to see things like 18 inch 2 or 3 guns battle ship Rail Gun and Guass Cannon turrets, but the current one doesn't feel like a full size BB or CA or CB turret. It kind'a feels DD-ish, almost as if each cannon should fire individually in order to gain doulbe the fire rate, half the burst damage but the same over DPM. What do you think?

@Grumpy Raccoon well here's the thing about the torps. It's using the guided missile assets (scripts etc) to function. I'm talking with the person who just revived it and, as far as I can tell, I have a go ahead to work on it.

But, the original creator should have final say. From what they have said on their workshop entry, they have zero intention to bring it back and as such I think I'm in the clear.

I'll work on it and see what happens.

I really like the design, though I think the range of such a weapon should be higher. My battles are usually being fought over distances of more than 6000m.
Except that little issue, this is a really great addition. I really like the design:)

Is there a chance that you publish all weapons in one pack? It would shorten the loading times for servers quite a bit :D
