There are several ways to approach it. Small spoiler, I usually bring the damaged tank to the edge of the airfield first, makes it quicker to refuel/fix/rearm. As long as the enemy doesn't blow it up, it's fine. Then I bring one of the other guys with me through the airfield. For the major battle, it's part luck, but I prefer to stand off for awhile to pick out the enemy tanks first. I usually take the gunner seat. I had experimented with a gunner script but the results were disappointing. However the death rate of the player's tank was so high in early testing that I added ways to take out the enemy if you're stuck on foot.

A very nice scenario, albeit a difficult one. The atmosphere is very well done and the music also fits somehow well. I was the only one to survive the final battle for the village, which was a hell of a trip. Thank you and many greetings! :steamhappy:

Updated to version 1.1. Major change is that I renamed it to Red Vengeance which is really what it's about. The old title Hoc Est Bellum was made up about 7 years ago and it just doesn't suit me any more. There are some minor changes listed in the changelog.

I converted all CWA objects to CUP objects (or similar), removing the dependency on CWA. Just seemed like overkill to need a huge mod for a few map objects. I also fixed a problem where the music could not be heard at the airfield. An Arma 3 patch a few months ago has made sounds a lot weaker when executed via "say" commands, and I mean a LOT weaker. It's quite annoying really. Anyway, the music is quite loud now.

Added CUP CWA. It's now required with CUP Terrains 1.30 because they moved all CWA related objects into a separate mod.

That's a change with the last Arma 3 patch. I believe you can change that in the Arma 3 difficulty settings. I have no control over it.
