This mod is so cool I given it award. Keep up the work its amazing idea. Will you be doing anything for hostile dinosaurs to or select which dino or player it can and cant detect ??? maybe alarm for when theres serve weather or event comming ?

A follow up to my last comment: The radar disappears seemingly whenever I walk a fair distance away from it. As if when that part of the world becomes unloaded it despawns.

U should add named base on every radar we can put. and a log on every radar to see intrusion

The sound is pointless to me. Im looking for a viable alarm to alert offline plyers of a potential raid through the webalarm routine.

Not it does not alert. However the sound during the countdown sequence can be heard from a fair distance and the light all around the map should change.

It somewhat says it does, but wanted to confirm if this triggers an alert like a tripwire would, sending an alert through the webalarm feature

It should be working fine, I haven't had a chance to test it latley. There is still the bug that it might destroy itself, I could never replicate the bug myself.

I can confirm that the radar destroyes itself, at first, I thought that one the enemy tribes were destroying it, but then I tested it with only myself joined with pass protected server, after afew hour that I was crafting some stuff I went to see if it is still there, but then I realize it just dissapeared. This happened with a crafted radar and the very same issue with a spawned one through console.

I've been playing on a server with this for about a week now. We've had numerous restarts but the radar never disappeared or destroyed itself. Sometimes the animation would freeze but eventually it would work again.
I'm thinking the reason it has been happening for you guys is because of the updates I've made. Because after an update the radars you've placed previously do technically no longer exist in that form.

The Problem still exist and we cant find out any reason why the radars destroy them self / decay.

Seems to be a bug. To be honest I really don't know what's causing it. If anyone has more information on this, especially if you know when exactly it destroyed itself, let me know.

Love the new update! It seems that maybe I'm only allowed to have one? I placed a couple around the perimeter walls of my base, and after the server restarted, only one didn't disappear.

The mod has been updated.

- Added animations when radar is scanning.
- Added menu option to enable / disable radar sound.
- Radar will spawn laser beam to show where enemy was detected.
- Radar does not alert for allied Tribes.
- Only tribe members can activate / deactivate the radar.
- Improved collision.


I recommend reinstalling the mod for this update. Delete all your old radars you've built. Might not be required if everything is working fine.

Thank you for your suggestion. I hope to be able to implement all the features you've mentioned. I really don't know why they would disappear on a server restart, I'd be interested in hearing from others regarding this. I'll look into it.

After reviewing this mod on my PvP server, I have a few suggestions. A couple of these would depend on your level of skill.

A setting to change the radius would be really helpful. Also it would be nice to have the notification that pops up to tell us who entered the perimeter without having to open the tribe log. And some kind of laser that points out where they are or a general area.

All in all, it's a good mod and I look forward to the animation updates. :)

Everything I do is done in Blender (2.78). I also painted the textures in Blender rather than Photoshop, I think that made all the difference. Today I created a rig and a scanning animation, will update the mod tomorrow.

I've decided not to include the wild dino feature. I've had it running and it became very annoying, going off all the time because the radar scans a very large perimeter. I will add a separate version at some point to scan just for dinos, perhaps with a smaller radius and no alarm sound, or make it toggable.

That is a good idea. I have to learn a few more things to be able to implement a function like that but it should be possible. I'll see what I can do, might be a few days though.

Could we also have it set to be a silent alarm? Like it detects them, sends the tribe message, and creates the log entry in the tribe logs, but doesn't make any noise?
