Hello,
I like this campaign incredibly well! I didn't encounter any problems while playing through and always found my way around very well. The missions are varied and the story is comprehensible. The main character is very likeable and the humorous scenes are brilliant. You've really managed to create the right atmosphere, whether it's sad, scary, exciting or funny.
Thank you for this great first part of this promising triology.

Hmmm, thought I got rid of the physical key, or at least the requirement. Yeah I'll put it in as a bug. Thanks for reporting. It's hard to think of every scenario when play testing.

Alright, I guess there was a dude close to the other exit who I didn't see, exiting through the one closer to playing field did the job, thx for explaination.

In "Shadow of Chernobyl" mission I noticed that keys won't be auto-added to player's inventory if they have no space in their uniform. Seems there's no fallback for that, keys get deleted but do not show up in menu while task still figures as not completed. If it's not possible to check for any empty "part" of player's gear, I think it would be good to have a notification for player to have space in uniform.

Ok I looked at it. The "stop" message only appears when you get within 10 meters of a NAPA soldier. They can see through your disguise, but beyond 10m they will not notice. It's pretty easy to avoid them. At some point they will figure out that you're not the warlord and will shoot at you anyway, but I think that's only after you leave the island.

How is the Lions Den mission supposed to be played? It looks like no matter what player does it will always end up with raising alarm in the prison camp and shooting through everybody. I picked up the warlord's outfit (and got the "Outfit" task completed) but immediately upon leaving the room I get engaged by the masked dude and everyone else inside the radar building. I assumed it's okay because task desc only talks about holding fire outside. But whenever I leave the building, I immediately get the message "hey you, stop" and hell breaks loose.

I've loaded all of the pre requisites but I get the following error trying to start the campaign.

"ShadowFall/Campaign/missions/GAM101.Chernarus_Winter/mission.sqm/Mission/Entities/Item31/Entities/Item0.type : Vehicle class gm_gc_civ_man_03_80_blu no longer exists"

@Mike99imp, I just drove from the start to the club, nothing froze. When you cross the river, the club script starts up. Any chance you can look in the rpt logs? They'll be in your Arma 3 profile path and look something like Arma3_x64_2022-10-28_09-22-09.rpt. I would start and the end and look up for the last error. The club has several working scripts and maybe there's a conflict with something I did in there.

Hey AZCoder, not sure if anyone else if having this issue. In the Revenge Mission, my screen is freezing completely. I have to alt tab and close the game. The Freeze happens at the exact spot, which is around 150 meters away from the Club. Wanted to see if any one has experienced this recently.

I have no extra mods added. Just only the recommended ones.

Hey, FYI whenever player is switching to another teammate in his group, their "team behavior" resets so they automatically switch to combat mode and you cannot disable it until AI says area is clear (so just like in vanilla).

This is the best campaign I've ever played. Missions very well constructed, fantastic cinematic cutscenes, and fully voiced. The amount of work that went into this is staggering. I'm bummed about Chernobyl map being pulled -- that was the scariest mission I ever played. Hopefully it will come back.

Love the campaign so far. I have a bug on Dark Wasteland. After I find the radioactive material, and see the ghost of the girlfriend I get an objective to regroup outside. Yet, I go to the objective location, and the mission does not trigger that I'm back with my team.

Thanks for the comments. I found it fascinating to have a character develop from one persona to another over time, so I tried to focus on what his character would do in response to various events.

You´re welcome, AZ! Sooo many women (thanks to Zephik - I know, previos already had female model, but now it´s really an eye candy) and hardbass, this update is a gift! BIS should hire you to write their campaigns, true character development (I haven´t seen an antagonist as Denmark - in my perspective he´s not a villain, as BIS would portrait him, but many shades of gray of human being - in any BIS or even CoD - BF3 had Dima, but he´s nowhere near our beloved Piotr)
Many kudos and anxious to see the rest of gates of Armageddon revamp!

Version 2 was just released. This is a 95% remake of the original campaign. Addons were carefully selected and debated to achieve the story that I wanted to tell. And yes this is a character/story campaign with full voice acting. If you're looking for straight up battles then this is not for you. If you like a dark story with a bit of mystery and a good amount of action in some places, then you might find this up your alley. Thank you.

Just a note that version 2.0 is under development. I am trying to release it by the end of this year for its 5 year anniversary, about 75% done. It has a lot of changes and a lot of enhancements.

I've loaded up my savegame again yesterday and was able to finish the mission without a problem. So far not other crashes happened.

Shadow Fall 2.0 will be out in a few months. It is a major reworking of most of the missions. I hope it will fix whatever is causing the mystery crashes. I could be mistaken, but I don't remember any crashes reported prior to March this year. Did Arma 2.02 change something? I did replicate the load/crash errors reported earlier, but never crashes caused by areas. Regarding the NAPA thing in the first mission, that will be removed in the 2.0 release ... because of an updated plot flow, not because of the crash, but at least that one will be fixed :D

I've also encountered a crash. That NAPA thing In the first mission, I think as soon as I eliminate all NAPAs, the game crashes.

Godis - yep that's the bug, thanks for the inline report. Still have no clue what causes it, but refactoring the scripts seems to fix it. There will be a huge update down the line. I have a different idea for the 4th mission so it will change radically in the next edition. Probably a few months away, a lot of changes in the campaign.

IF it crashes, then it's mostly happening when I'm entering Rogovo, right after passing the first technical that's standing on the right side near the town entrance.

Edit: It crashed also when I reloaded a savegame. -

@AZCoder: Getting a crash in the mission It's the mission "GA1SF04.chernarus_summer". Sometimes it doesn't crash though...

The log doesn't point out anything useful, except this: Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at CF5C5000

Some good news, some not so good news. The good: I totally redid the scripting for mission 2 and could not get it to crash despite numerous attempts. I think it's caused by old bloated scripts and possible conflicts with an update I did a couple weeks ago. The not so good news: it will be awhile before I can release an update. The new way of doing things requires validating all missions in the campaign. I mean it might not take that many days, but now that I'm in there it's hard not to fix and fiddle with other things.
