Hey! So saved mods are stored in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Robot Entertainment\OMD2\SubscribedMods. Then match the number of the folder with the number in the url of the mod you've downloaded. You can compare them with the official xml files(easily found in the OMD2 workshop tool's menubar at help -> Show XML samples) to give more insight as to what they changed.

Sorry to bother again, but I have a quick question for when you can get to it.

You advised me to look at others' mods and tweak with them, but I'm not exactly sure where the files of the mods I download are and how to view the xml? I'll keep looking, maybe I'll find it before you get back.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. If you have the spare time to waste I would be very happy with any guide/help. I'm very interested in this game and even though the modding for the community is kinda slow I would still like to contribute to it.

No worries! For a guide, there's some sparse info at the official forums(https://forums.orcsmustdie.com/categories/omd2-steam-workshop-modding) , and some detail on the Orcs must die wiki(http://orcsmustdie.wikia.com/wiki/Mod:Orcs_Must_Die!_2_Modding) . The best guide as it stands right now though, is looking at other peoples' mods and tweaking them around, seeing what you can break.

Mods are in XML format, and are pretty flexible as long as you aren't trying to go too far out of the box. Posting this from my non-dev machine, so I can't be of much more help at the moment, but over the weekend I'll see about writing up a detailed guide and posting it on the steam guides. Hope this helps! ^^

Sorry to ask this on your mod but do you know of a still existing modding guide for this game? I'd like to get into modding to attempt a few things... But the official website for the starter guide is gone.
