As for adding a ranged weapon, you'll want to look into nuru's spear's armor penetration.
Since this is your first mod, though, I suppose it could have been worse. Perhaps you should switch it's secondary to super spin slash or solus katana's secondary so that it either helps with mobility or has farther reach than most swords.
But keep up the good work. Eventually, you might make a weapon secondary of your own.
Personally, I'd've preferred a ranged weapon. This weapon is a two-handed broadsword, and has base 4560.4 base damage with a 1.2 rate of fire for a 5494.5 DPS, using Time Freeze secondary. It says it's a Tier 20 weapon, if anyone wants that information.
