It doesn't work anymore

Turns ground blue with major clipping (building almost appears to be submerged). Unsubbed.

@Badi_dea thanks, fits great with my resident areas :)

@Badi_Dea okay thank you. I hope it works out for you, if you attempt it :)

Funny you should mention it, we were discussing something like that not too long ago on Simtropolis. If I get some time over the Thanksgiving holiday here in America I'll take a crack at it.

Hey, pretty cool. I was wondering if you could create a 'lawn prop' I desperately need it for several buildings that I have, to make it look more realistic. I was hoping for it to be 1x1 in size, or maybe slightly bigger. I don't see anyone working on this, I don't know why. Anyway, this is kind of like a request...If you read this, please consider it.

All the grass textures don't compare to this one. That's the texture I was looking for.

If the sub building version is giving you problems, I have linked the non-sub building version at the top of the page.

Not in this case, unfortunately. I'm not baking the texture map from a high-res model (except for the LOD) I'm creating a texture atlas and UV-ing the faces based on that.

Ah OK, you can easily set the shingle texture to tile if it has a seamless repeat, which most stock textures do these days. Check your modeling program's documentation about how to do that; it's one of the easier things in 3d modeling, thankfully.

Since roofs are so iimportant in this game -- it's basically all you ever see of the buildings TBH -- the roof textures become very important. Also, you might want to drop the overall luminosity of your lighting rig, the buildings look a bit bleached out.

I didn't subdevide any of the faces on the roof, so I guess the texture is probably a little larger than it should be - but hey, if I got everything perfect on my first asset, you guys would expect too much on the next one :-P
I'll have to make a version 2.0 when I get better at this.

Hi this is a very appealing set but I have to ask, Are the roof shingles intended to be that big? If they are meant to be shingles then the texture is very overscaled, right now each one is about 2-3 feet long...

Thanks.
