Okay, I checked it out myself and it seems to list the esp as "Better Bone Armor" even though the name of the actual file is mod1.esp. Thanks for the heads up, I'll be changing the install instructions to reflect this.

doesnt work. i see mod1.esp on nexus mod manager but i do not see it in data files.

You don't HAVE to find anything for crafting. Console commands are your friend :)

i can't see the mod1.esp file in the data files bit

Novaspawn - It's funny. I originally hadn't messed with the Daedric stuff at all, but quite a few people were requesting it so I switched 'em.

The .esp is what switches the armor ratings, and that's pretty much all it does. If you want just the textures they're available loose for manual install at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3688 (just don't activate the esp), or you could try adding the mod1.bsa to the Skyrim.ini - say, after the highres packs - so you can deactivate the esp and still have the textures (untested, but it should work...). Hope this helps.

I would subscribe to this mod but the switching of armor with daedric set is a turn off, and to those who don't understand why dragon smithing is 100 and daedric isn't is because Dragonscale is the strongest light armor whereas daedric cannot make light armor. The reason why Daedric armor has higher armor rating is because according to lore Daedric is the strongest not dragonbone; yet I prefer dragonbone because it fits my look better. Is it possible for you to release a version that doesn't have the armor rating swapped?

Yes but he only sells 2 daedra hearts and at a absurd price too, I find it easier looking around for them, they come to you, if you've done the pieces of the past quest however, getting those hearts shouldn't be hard if you're a patient person, also ebony fairly expensive to obtain though.
Tiroth 20 Mar, 2012 @ 7:50pm
xWolfLegendx You can buy 2 Daedra Hearts every 2 days from Enthir in Winterhold College. Not so hard. Very very easy

People Who Are Saying "Why does dragonbone armour has lesser Armour Rating than Daedric" Its Because DragonBone Armour Is Easier To Craft, As You Can Get About 13 DragonBones And Scales From About 3 or 4 Dragons, While For Daedric You Have To Get Ebony Ingots And Daedra Hearts Which Are Pretty Rare

Well, on 360 with armor enchants and potions had well over 2k armor with no cheats, so this is much appreciated!

Love the look, takes the sun bleach look away. One request, could you extend this to the Regal Crown?
Viri 20 Feb, 2012 @ 2:59pm
The armor cap in this game is only about 567, which you can get wearing steel plate armor (without a shield), so their armor being flipped is mostly irrelevant because you can cap your armor with both sets very easily.

nice work with the dragon armor
Douzey 13 Feb, 2012 @ 10:03pm
it requires a high skill because it makes the best light armor, therefore it should be the highest

I agree with groglisterine. It doesn't make sense that Dragonbone armor is less effective than Daedric when it requires higher skill level to craft.
ColFrambozen  [author] 9 Feb, 2012 @ 12:39pm
lupa, after posting yesterday I did more digging and found a fix for it, as apparently the hi-res pack will overrule any and all texture mods you may have installed. The fix instructions are in the mod description.

groglisterine, you raise an interesting point. It's something I might just have to look into.
groglisterine 9 Feb, 2012 @ 7:45am
I would download this if the armour rating was raised for Dragonbone. The fact that it is more rare and less effective than Daedric is nonesense to me.

Looking forward to this working with hi res then, always thought the dragon bone looked to light and clean.
ColFrambozen  [author] 8 Feb, 2012 @ 1:02pm
lupa, I've been doing some digging around and so far as I can tell the HiRes pack should be overridden with any textures loose in your Data folder, but when I loaded up the game to check the chest armors were changed to HiRes default while the rest of the pieces were still from BBA. I'll get to work on fixing it right away, but for now it's not exactly compatible with the HiRes pack.

This work with the higher resolution textures bethesda released?
