Is it possible to add the "Intoxicated" effect from FU to the alcohol on this mod? I think it'd add a realistic effect. Kinda sucks I can't get intoxicated off of my favorite liqour, vodka.

Rot brew... hah, amusing. I'm in the process of preparing an update with one of Hieru's newest creations that rots food faster. Slimes might like Rot Brew... assuming poison immunity immunizes them to getting sick from it.

Oh, lots... but this only happens with foods that have altered recipes because of Craftworking, so I didn't consider that it could be any of them.

That's actually really weird. I just gave it a try and that issue doesn't happen to me. Are you using other mods?

Just a small issue... Vanilla foods with edited recipes, like Pearlpea Risotto and Fish and Chips, do not show up in the cooking collection when I make them for the first time. Is there any way you can fix this?

This doesn't add new recipes, but replaces old ones, and adds new items with their own recipes. I just wish it didn't remove the old recipes. I'd like to have both forms for making Pearlpea Risotto, Fish&Chips, and Bandages. I also like the idea of making Paper Airplanes craftable. But HomeBrew, and RotBrew, have never existed in any form in the game before during Beta or now. It's the only two things I asked to be removed. The only things I wanted added was the old recipes, so I could have both.

...Yeah it's kind of a weird request but it's not what this mod is about. I'll shelve the idea for a different mod but not for this one.

Well, could you make a mod that has no new items, and does not remove the vanilla recipes and replaces them with new recipes? I would love to have two recipes for the same item, like the other mods I've downloaded have done. I'd also love for mods I download to be multiplayer friendly, and mods that add new items don't tend to be multiplayer friendly sadly... until a work around is made.

I'd love if this added alternative recipes instead of changing vanilla recipes.
I'd love to have two choices for crafting many forms of food rather than one choice.
Mind you, other mods already do this... but I don't always download them when they add new items to the game.
Can I ask, does this add new items? I haven't seen a select few of the items mentioned (alchoholic items).

@purplehatman, yea i.. sort of pointed that out earlier in this thread lol - wouldn't hurt to have the same effects as the other booze introduced in the game ^.^ (or similar)
wish there was a way to keep track of how intoxicated you are.. so the more you drink, the more your vision blurrs and the funnier you walk lol

i found it - it's Frackin' Universe -- it incorporated StarBooze into it... which also adds an item called 'darkrum'
it. uhm. makes you drunk for a moment when you drink it lol (i just spawned it in-game and drank it)

wouldn't require the rotten food itself, but the bacteria FROM the rotten food for fermentation ^^
i'm guessing the rotten food itself would be disposed in the process or something.

Well, the drinks I'll be adding next are beer, rum, vodka and wine and none of those should require rotten food. I'll eventually allow alcoholic drinks to be further distilled into a crafting ingredient for possibly medical purposes. Maybe something like Pure Alcohol or a gas of some kind so that way even Rot Brew turns out to be useful later in game.

suggestion, use rotten food to ferment certain brews (adding them as a recipe item) - requires you to make rot brew at least once first though.

A standalone version is unlikely since I aim to change more of the vanilla content and I don't want to clutter the workshop with multiple versions of one mod.

@John Aqua: Yeah, I made a mistake when I uploaded the mod but I'll fix the missing thumbnail in the next update, which will probably be later today. I have little free time but I'll manage.

I'm thinking about making some changes to alcohol recipes. Since they do not rot and will also give the "rage" effect when consumed, maybe they should also require a bottle so crafting them is not as easy.

Nope. Rot Brew and Home Brew won't rot. Eggnog will rot but it will take a lot of time to do so. I will add more alcoholic drinks in the next update.
