Can confirm, does not work with FU. Works fine until you try doing the courses for the tech guy at the Ark, then tech breaks in the course

This either doesn't work with the latest version of Starbound or with Frackin' Universe. Hard to know, since I'm subscribed to a fair amount of mods.

I don't know what else to suggest unfortunately, I can't reproduce the error and the message you're getting is too vague to diagnose the issue. You could try unlocking tech on a new character and see if that works and that would either rule out or confirm if it's some kind of weird corruption on your original character but that wouldn't really help fix it either way. Sorry.

I tried it without any mods but yours and get the same error. On a new character it works, but I don't know that yet since it has no tech.

I see you have a lot of mods, have you tried joining multiplayer with just this mod to see if that works? (It should, I use it in multiplayer) If it does work, try adding one mod at a time until it stops working and then we'll know what it's conflicting with.

It works fine in singleplayer, but not in mp.

Asset mismatch. I'm getting this: Incoming client packet has caused exception
It doesn't happen with a new character, but maybe because a new character doesn't have any tech. https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/cant-get-into-my-own-server.148479/

How exactly is it breaking multiplayer? If you're just unable to connect it may be that the person or server you're connecting to doesn't have asset mismatching allowed. If it's breaking it some other way can you describe the problem and check the log file for any error messages?

Should be working fine again now. Also holding the key down will now recast dash/sprint whenever possible.

Sugestion: holding F should cast the dash whenever it's cooldown has finished instead of having to withdraw it and press it again.

That would be appreciated. I hope other mod authors adapt this control scheme, because the standard double-tap controls drives me bonkers and activates when I don't want it to, leading to needless injury!

I could rework this so that other mods could build on top of it, changing the tech's effects without overwriting the input mechanism. But it'd be up to other mod makers to decide whether or not they use it.

This is the same issue as votex09 mentioned - the mod is probably incompatible with anything else that modifies the techs in question since only one of the modified code files will end up being used by the game at a time. Sorry.

It appears to have some incompatibility with the "faster morphballs" mod (at least that's what i'm assuming is the cause), where the aqua and distortion balls will still require the 'F' key to be pressed.

Well yeah, I had to edit the dash techs so any other mod that edits them won't work with this one.

This for some reason breaks "Energy Dash Restoration" and overwrites the edits to the dash ability.
