Yes, but if you upgrade again, it will revert back to the train.

Make a new character. Rename the save files to give it to your old one.

It should be fine as long as you empty the ship before you upgrade.

My Novakid ship is amlost at the end level of upgrading, is it still possible to use this mod or will it just destroy my safegame?
