I believe there should be a choice to either use vanilla units or yours, but at the moment there is no choice basically - these are superior in every way. Additionally, components are usually harder to get than steel, more so in the early game.
Considering everything I said, solar should cost 11-12 steel and hydroponics 35 steel. But that's my opinion, hope it makes sense =)
Thats just 5 steel less then the vanilla one.
I deem that pretty much balanced :p
A regular solar panel takes 100 steel, 3 components and takes up 16 blocks.
If you build 16 solars of mine, those would cost 160 steel. Thats 60 steel for the component cost.
(I know 25x3 is 75 ... but I couldnt resist the round number of 10 steel for each.)
And thx for saying it should be vanilla, thats quite the compliment =D
Same with the solar panels. Btw I thought your solar was actually more expensive than vanilla one. Guess I was wrong. You should change it too then =)
I'm glad at least some people care for balance instead of asking some pretty OP stuff like in my other mod 'MAD'
I do think +10 for each would be a bit to much.
I do like the +5 though and perhaps also making them harder to construct.
(because of not having the right components and such)
The for the input, I'll make sure to change it when I got the time!
