Is there a version of this with the TLS animations? The author themselves doesn't seem to wanna update this mod and had a guy's mod taken down when he tried to port the gun onto the new animations.

This is the best version of the M16A2 in this game. I love it!

Damn, I wish we could see more weapons given this facelift.

I'm adding sounds for personal use, no upload to workshop. How do I fix the issue with no sounds with the charging handle with the rifle is drawn? There are slide forward and slide back sounds in the sounds I'm adding but they don't seem to play...

That's a very nice looking M16. The mashup of weapon parts does make it feel a lot like a Valve weapon.
This is easily a top pick for my favorite skins. I really dig the vanilla look and feel, it goes well with the L4D2 weapons that are already modeled relatively well. I ESPECIALLY appreciate that it isn't perfectly clean like a lot of weapon skins; "New" weapons don't exactly suit a zombie apocalypse.

Would you be okay with me using this as the weapon of choice for my own M16A2 animations? I've already rendered and uploaded the reload animation to Youtube on a higher poly (but still low res texture) M16 I hacked together, which you can preview here if you would like to see it first:

I would probably still make some minor changes to better suit my purposes (mostly the flashlight), but for the most part, the weapon itself would go untouched both out of respect for the fact that it's your skin, and simply because there's nothing much to change.

I find this addon very fuckin offensive. (xd)

@Sirgibsalot: I figured, also don't know if it's just me, but when I pull the charging handle when switching to a different weapon and then back, theres no noise? But again, I love the mod, probably one of my favorites for the A2 ^-^

@those 5 years: The same issue exists with the default M16 as well. Valve removed the front of the magwell on the default model for optimization reasons, only whoever animated the gun didn't seem to realize that wasn't how it was actually designed to be.

If I ever do an update to this, I'd like to edit the reload animation to fix that issue.

Everything is great, but the magazine is clipping through the magwell. I'm nit-picky sorry :/ But man probably the best M16A1 with A2 handguards I've seen for awhile.

You did ask that question just about 2 months ago, but I will still say this: the texture resolution is approximately twice the original resolution, which means the texture was altered, which means it's almost certainly not compatible with other texture mods.
