Nice map. I'm not sure if I completed it in the intended way. But it was fun.

Here are my 3x3x3 maps. They are a little challenging. Please try.

Excellent tight map. Not so hard as to be frustrating! Thanks!

For a 3x3 it is 10/10 , turrets were a bonus too.

mood3rd 22 Feb, 2013 @ 4:27pm
good 3x3x3 map :)
it is posible not only as you say, to complete this map without using the light bridge.
but also without using the cube as a shield.
I grabed both turrets & kept them alive-my challenge :)

Hey, I solved it!

You want to know how I did it?

So do I.

I wandered a bit but as i completed each step i was gratified enough to go on. Turret 2 gave me a headache and it took a while to get the laser but overall a good puzzle map. No glitches tnat i could see. #F4F

Small but somewhat confusing map.
StIg 13 Jul, 2012 @ 10:36am
You can actually defeat the turret without using a cube or the light bridge - you can reach it through a portal, but nice little, if slightly confusing, map...
Kubijo 12 Jul, 2012 @ 11:45am
Awesome!
SoliX 10 Jul, 2012 @ 7:44am
Damn I liked this puzzle ! Very compact and concise, maybe the light bridge was kind of pointless since you can get that turret down with the cube ;)
Feel free to try my 3x3x3 here [goo.gl], even more challenging =p
richyutee 9 Jul, 2012 @ 11:56pm
Yours makes me not want to post mine! Back to the drawing board.
Chiringo 6 Jul, 2012 @ 10:15pm
Fun as Hell :P
Le Petit Mort 1 Jul, 2012 @ 9:07am
Liked it! Good and concise, rewarding a keen eye.

Pros:
• Concise, compact;
• Never confounding;

Cons:
• Light-bridge seems to serve no purpose;
• First laser-receptacle can be a little tricky to find;

Hehe funny map. :)

That was fun. I have a similar game I made called: Worlds Smallest 1-9. Make more of these maps, they're good. Take a look my games as well:

Difficulty 3/10
Fun 6/10

Nice sized map but unfortunately was not too challenging and most of the puzzles were basic.

AWESOME MAP :D
For me was easy and hard
I create 2 maps but there not yet on game :3
I like your map it was hard and everything!
RJBlarmo 8 Jun, 2012 @ 8:34pm
nice map, not sure if i took out the turrets the right way, but fun anyways.
feel free to check out my map: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=75089488

Thanks for your comment, Ed! As you and other players have noted, it's not necessary to use the light bridge as a shield--it's there for players who need it or want to use it. There are multiple ways to take out that turret, including simply grabbing it through the grating if you're quick enough.
Ed 6 Jun, 2012 @ 1:53pm
A brilliant map - uses every inch of space superbly. One thing though - I didn't need to use the second light bridge to shielf myself from the turret on the top floor. I just took the cube with me through the jump and used that as a shield instead.
Rock N Rage 23 May, 2012 @ 4:58pm
Another cool 3X3X3 map! Thanks for creating!
theOfficePortal 22 May, 2012 @ 8:39pm
pretty decent map. No real compliants. Good direction. Always felt like I was making progress and basically headed in the right direction.
Sitting Duck 22 May, 2012 @ 10:43am
Thanks, I already played it. It's also an excellent map.

BTW, I'm glad I didn't see the comments below: I didn't use the light bridge or grabbing through the grating to... SPOILERS BELOW! ;) That's what Companion Cubes are for!
Sitting Duck 21 May, 2012 @ 10:55pm
Nice work, Catsy! Had me scratching my head for a bit, there. :)
zivi7 21 May, 2012 @ 1:28pm
Nice one!
Catsy  [author] 20 May, 2012 @ 7:57pm
Metro: I'll take a look; that shouldn't be possible.
DUI GOAT 20 May, 2012 @ 7:55pm
I got stuck. Right before the end. I hit my portal and fell down while in gravity pull. couldn't get out. couldn't jump into room due to waiting too long on gravity pull
Squoo 20 May, 2012 @ 6:13am
Clever use of space. Really enjoyed this.
Ubiquitous 20 May, 2012 @ 2:29am
BTW, I used (and appreciated) the light bridge!
Catsy  [author] 19 May, 2012 @ 2:46pm
Thanks Ubiquitous!
Ubiquitous 19 May, 2012 @ 2:08pm
Really great map. Difficulty was just right, and great use of the space.
Catsy  [author] 17 May, 2012 @ 2:05pm
Grabbing the turret through the grating is indeed one intended way of taking it out. I put in the light bridge because not everyone is quick enough to be able to pull that off before they get shot, so a light bridge shield on the back wall lets you get close enough that you can drop the shield and grab the turret before it can fire. I didn't want this to be particularly difficult. :)
baczek 17 May, 2012 @ 1:54pm
i just grabbed the upper turret and it fell over. dunno if that's intended, probably not, because i didn't have a use for the light bridge...
Rubo : ) 17 May, 2012 @ 1:10pm
nice one catsy! too bad you only add people that you know in real life xD
Hydragraphics 16 May, 2012 @ 7:02pm
Loved the map, you put quite a bit in 3X3. I used the cube to take out the upper turret.
Catsy  [author] 16 May, 2012 @ 12:13pm
Thanks for giving it a try, CrazyDJ! The light bridge is there for players to shield themselves from the turret in order to approach it. It's not strictly necessary--if you're very quick or clever, you can get close enough to grab the turret without the bridge--but I put it there for players who need it in order to reduce the need for "twitch" reactions.
TitanKämpfer 16 May, 2012 @ 12:09pm
Good map. Btw. you didn't need the light bridge.
Catsy  [author] 16 May, 2012 @ 10:09am
Dr. Slayer: I suppose I could've used a light bridge to block the player's access to the exit chamber--or even nothing at all, considering the player can't get at the exit anyway. It was mostly for visual interest. But I'm not sure how a player would get killed by the laser barrier without deliberately walking into it. :)
Catsy  [author] 16 May, 2012 @ 10:02am
Thanks, Big-Jon. Actually, I have an idea how to fix it, but it'll have to wait until I get home from my day job--the player doesn't need to return to that area of the third floor with the turret, so if I replace the flip panel on the wall with an angle panel that swings out from the ceiling, that should prevent the problem. That ceiling panel is already a portal surface anyway, so it shouldn't alter the solution at all.
Dr. Slayer PhD 16 May, 2012 @ 10:01am
Making the lasers insta-death wasnt really necessary, but besides that it was good
Jonnyboi99 16 May, 2012 @ 9:57am
Just finished it! It was very well done. I found out that problem with jamming something in the revolving door too. But very good for that challenge you had accepted. I might just go make one myself.
Catsy  [author] 16 May, 2012 @ 9:49am
That was odd--somehow, for a period of a few minutes, this was the #1 map on the front page of the Portal 2 Workshop, and it produced a huge surge of traffic. Now it's not. At any rate, welcome to all visitors and thank you for trying this map--you might want to check out some of my others as well, particularly Tractor Driver. As always, comments and feedback are welcome!
Catsy  [author] 16 May, 2012 @ 9:47am
Soarin-Blue: thank you, I've noticed that it's possible to get either oneself or a turret jammed in the moving panels and I'm not quite sure how to resolve that but I'm open to suggestions!
IrishBlues 16 May, 2012 @ 9:42am
smart test, liked it. Managed to accidentaly brake it by jamming the revolving wall with a turret.
Jonnyboi99 16 May, 2012 @ 9:41am
Checking it out now!
