Relax map !

I can't figure it out!

@wildgoosespeeder It is actually a perfectly correct game mechanic. You clearly don't know what you are talking about. There are several "official" levels that rely on this mechanic. Nitwit.

The solution is based on "programming faults" of the game rather than "intended game mechanics". I think the idea is good but you can make it better.

1. The player should step off the button that activates the excursion funnel so that way the box will fall onto the button rather than rest on the button on its side.
2. Surround that button with laser fields to prevent the player from solving it in an unintended way.
3. Make the drop height greater than the fling height.

I had fun playing this level. People obviously don't pay attention to the details. I lined up the laser at the first try by just following the grooves on the ground.

I had a bit of time wasted before realising how to set the whole in motion. I clearly saw what needed to be done, but I seemed to be missing an element until that aha moment came.

Sure, the room could need a bit of decoration and lighting but those are just distractions from the puzzle.

This one was good, but not as good as the others you've made. I found the solution pretty quickly. I don't know why people said it was hard to line up the lazers, they should have just used the lines on the floor as guides.

Good map, gave it a thumbs up. Really enjoy the size. Nothing I like more than being able to see an entire map in one glance.

Couple things (possible spoilers for anyone else)-
1. I liked that you made the white tiles on the ground spell something out. It's a good bit of misdirection that delayed my getting the solution by at least :30 to 1:00. Considering the size of the room, I'd say that's a pretty good proportion.

2. Like a couple others said, it was a little annoying that while I figured out the solution rather quickly, I couldn't implement it until a good bit after (I had trouble lining up the laser). Putting in some white walls to portal back and forth real quick might be a good solution for that.

Anyway, nicely done. Look forward to seeing more. Feel free to check out some of mine. :)

Not a bad map. A little easy, but I have used a similar 'portal swinging' concept in a map of my own, so perhaps I was just prepared. Still, very well executed. As someone else mentioned, it felt a bit like it should have been the first of a few connected chambers to achieve the "full level" effect. Creatively executed though! 7.5 / 10.

Amazing map, 10/10, would play again.
Difference Tone 19 May, 2012 @ 7:16pm
I think this is a nice map. There's just enough going on that it isn't immediately obvious what to do.
STRELOK 18 May, 2012 @ 10:29pm
a wonderful map, you are surprising me more and more!!! I was laughing loudly when i found sollution, it is easier that it seems.

some white walls wouldnt hurt, kept walking back and furth to adjust the cube. other than that, nice trick (though it is kind of clear if you jsut think where each cube needs to be), but a bit too short
Anduin 17 May, 2012 @ 11:11am
nice start, but it's to short to get more than a "like"
Frennotex 17 May, 2012 @ 3:49am
Clever indeed :) ! Had me scratch my head a while.
Sitting Duck 16 May, 2012 @ 11:06pm
Clever solution, which made me sit and think about for a minute. Obviously you were wanting a very spare feeling to a seriously over-large room, but it's TOO dead. Give it some light, or... something. Excellent job, otherwise.
nayre_trawe 16 May, 2012 @ 6:33pm
This was a clever map that I enjoyed playing - the solution is rather obvious but not immediately apparent. My only gripe is that it was a little hard to nail the final solution once I realized how to do it - it took a couple retries which was a bit irritating, but I did give it a thumbs up.
CleanUrRoom 16 May, 2012 @ 8:25am
was very easy but took a while to line up the laser correctly. Good level tho. Try to make ten rooms joined together of that difficulty and you got yourself an epic level!
GooofyX 16 May, 2012 @ 8:11am
very clever. got confused at first. 4/5
ResidentEvil92  [author] 15 May, 2012 @ 8:49pm
You are completely completely wrong sir sorry to say LOL
Try it and you will see...u clearly missed the connections
🍪 Anna 15 May, 2012 @ 8:36pm
can be solved from the image:
step 1: cube in funnel
step 2: aim laser at receiver (mind the stairs)
step 3: step onto the button and finish.

Please tell me if I'm wrong, then I might concider playing it.
Bmaster 15 May, 2012 @ 8:27pm
Puzzle was interesting but the chamber itself lacked visual appeal. There was little use of lighting and the design didn't draw me to any elements.
Cocoa 15 May, 2012 @ 1:17pm
Very nice. Was little confused at first. Then I realized how close that button was to the door and figured it out right away.
Ad 14 May, 2012 @ 7:02pm
Nice little map! I know it's not required for the solution, but do you know why the player cannot directly interact with the wall button? I was right up against it, wiggling around, but never managed to trigger it!
