@Readtext, I have been using this mod for over a year and I think the learning rate is a tad fast, actually. You can adjust how often they do it in priority tab

Agree a slider would be good though

Dont work with CE on 1.6
Nope 20 Sep @ 1:12pm
Few things, with CE the pawns are only shooting like 1-2 bullets before going to reload, any way to have them keep training until they empty the mag? Also, is there any way to auto set fire mode during training to single shot with CE, so that they don't waste too much ammo, with the fire mode going back to original after training?
Readtext 19 Sep @ 9:22pm
With that much experience gained, the mod is pointless. Add an experience multiplier slider.

@Cavinaar
Ranged targets have a designated 'using zone' similar to melee ones, but the zones are away from the target itself. Maybe those zones were blocked in your buildings?
Cavinaar 3 Sep @ 8:52am
I am finding that they use the melee targets just fine, but the ranged targets never get used.
The Bard of Hearts 31 Aug @ 10:17am
The work tab works, but occasionally (and this is a new development) seems to erase its priority selection to nothing. Only became a problem since 1.6
DocHolliday 30 Aug @ 11:20pm
This is neat but why would you add a "training" work tab that does nothing? A little annoying that I cannot regulate who is training or what priority it should be...
DocHolliday 30 Aug @ 11:19pm
This is neat but why would you add a "training" work tab that does absolutely f*cking nothing?
Ornament 30 Aug @ 8:42am
@Zonbai I experienced the exact opposite. "Combat Trainining Continued" didn't switch to the training weapon and I always ended up repairing the training dummys and shooting my own people. This mod just works fine, even with sidearms. Did you leave space for the dummy? The interaction zone is a few meters away.
elĐeve 29 Aug @ 1:49am
can we have an ingame option to regulate the xp winning?
Cyser 27 Aug @ 1:37am
The audacity to come to someones mod and advertise for another lol
Absolutly no respect for the work of others....
@zonbai
Zonbai 26 Aug @ 5:19am
Mod doesn't seem to work with sidearm mods.
Pawns don't train
Use "Combat Training Continued" instead.
It works better
Zonbai 25 Aug @ 12:16am
I have "Training" task set to 1
I built a shooting target dummy.
Pawns never train.
Pawn has autopistol, won't shoot at dummy.
No right-click menu on the dummy so can't prioritize.
Can't seem to get this mod to work.
Any ideas?
Kaedys 24 Aug @ 12:44pm
It probably considers it "combat". Recommend something like No Forced Slowdown (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1419593453)
SquirrelGoblin 24 Aug @ 11:09am
Hey, I think that the mod lately makes the game run on 1 speed when colonists are using the shooting targets.
Is that meant to be that way?
Ogodai 22 Aug @ 7:55am
Great mod
$r.RC_Gameplays 18 Aug @ 5:53pm
Kaedys 9 Aug @ 3:01pm
The assignment being dependent on weapon falls down, I think, when you use something like Sidearms or a tools mod that lets pawns carry multiple weapons and swap them out depending on the task at hand. >.<
SP4RTAN 9 Aug @ 2:57pm
fair enough
Haplo_X1  [author] 9 Aug @ 12:37pm
The assignement is dependent on the weapon.
I will not break it in seperate tasks as that would clutter the task lists a bit more without any benefit.
SP4RTAN 9 Aug @ 8:16am
Would you ever consider splitting martial arts (melee) and shooting into separate tasks? That way for example when a pawn has maxed out shooting, I can assign them just to martial arts training?
kenlon 9 Aug @ 1:27am
Anyone know of a mod like this that happens to include fireproof shooting targets? It's not a problem with this mod, but I'm using some other mods that add weapons that set them on fire.
Mickbob 6 Aug @ 4:59pm
Having the exp bug today with shooting dummy, noticed it shooting up to like lvl 16 out of nowhere on shooting training dummy
The Bard of Hearts 5 Aug @ 6:17pm
For some reason, Every time I load the game, the priority for the Training Job is erased. Anything I can do to fix this?
Haplo_X1  [author] 3 Aug @ 10:32am
Thanks for the bug confirmation.
I've reverted the changes to the skill assignment, so that part should again be working like it did before the changes..
Djinn 3 Aug @ 2:48am
I can confirm that today it happened to me, so even with the latest version. I thought I did something wrong, but then I realized it only happened with the shooting dummy and not the melee one. 1 shot -> from skill 4 to 20.99l ^^
Haplo_X1  [author] 3 Aug @ 1:32am
@Zoto: that should be fixed with the new update.. There was a bug where for the first shot it applied over 1000x the xp. OK I haven't tested the current solution with high skills. Maybe that does something.. But shouldn't really..
Zoto 2 Aug @ 5:15pm
Martial arts dummy works fine weirdly enough
Zoto 2 Aug @ 5:15pm
Yep XP is fucked, even after yesterdays update. Pawn went from 10 to 20 in like two shots at a cloth target
The Bard of Hearts 2 Aug @ 3:07pm
I'm having a problem where every time I load the game, the Training Job priority is removed entirely. So I have to go in and set everyone up again for training. Is this a known bug in 1.6? It wasn't like that in 1.5. Anything I can do to help?
Haplo_X1  [author] 2 Aug @ 4:23am
Thanks for the info. I've missed the EXP issue in the last patch. Should now be fixed :)
麸籽釉莲(FT✿UN) 2 Aug @ 3:43am
Perhaps this bug of overtraining can be used together with the mod "EndlessGrowth",which could make things better XD
Deepfield 1 Aug @ 11:06pm
Range is closed for maintenance
Gahs 1 Aug @ 9:51pm
Yep xp is massively bugged. Pawns will max out shooting before you even notice anything wrong. Would have pretty much ruined my game if I was dumb enough not to have backup saves. Please fix asap. Have used this mod for years and would be a shame to have to stop using it.
Eheieh 1 Aug @ 9:07pm
I tracked down an older version of the mod and replaced the three files in the 1.6/Assemblies/ folder,” and now the shooting skill‑gain rates are back to normal. It seems the proficiency gain values in the new version were being miscalculated—or perhaps overflowing. Until the author issues a proper update, you can try finding the 1.6‑compatible legacy version on less-popular mod sites and use that as a temporary fix.
Noya 1 Aug @ 8:56pm
Like others, I get a large amount of experience from shooting training. Fighting training seems to be working fine.
REYS 1 Aug @ 8:47pm
Yes, something is wrong. One session and shooting skill up from 4 to 20. Can U fix it?
Eheieh 1 Aug @ 8:17pm
After the most recent update, training speed with the shooting target has become unbelievably fast — my character jumped from level 15 to level 30 in one training session (I’m using a mod that lets skill levels exceed the usual cap).
Slamurmum 1 Aug @ 7:06pm
nice! I just started a war yesterday because a caravan decided they wanted to hang around in front of my shooting range xD
KingLyndon 1 Aug @ 5:51am
i have been having afew issues lately guests from the hospitality mod use the shooting dummy and they fire so fast it starts slowing down my game to the point even on 3x speed its like half of normal speed
Saki 25 Jul @ 4:09pm
Can we maybe request a training facility that works with magic and fighting classes from 'A Rim World of Magic'?
Buff_Cosmo 25 Jul @ 3:22pm
Is there a way to make the shooting silent during training? It's really annoying to hear machine gun fire 24/7
Roge 23 Jul @ 7:57pm
Can you make Gauss gun from vanilla weapons expanded, as "Dangerous weapon" it decimates my gravship walls
mosseph 21 Jul @ 6:15am
Very useful mod, thank you for sharing!
Zamaza 20 Jul @ 3:37pm
Same bug as Geneva: sometimes pawns trying to shoot the target but instead just walk back and forth from the range to the target
Lorbog 17 Jul @ 9:24am
Also having the issue where it erases my training work priority after I travel in a gravship.
Geneva 16 Jul @ 3:24am
bug: sometimes pawns trying to shoot the target but instead just walk back and forth from the range to the target
One Eyed King Is Potato 15 Jul @ 3:27pm
both of those could be it will make note of that and check, thanks letting me know
