Awesome, how about you create a massive fantasy Egyptian style city? Like they show in Hollywood?

There seems to be an issue with being able to march up and down the hills around the Palace, allowing one to enter the city without any siege engines or burning the gates. There are two points were this happens allowing someone to flank around the left and right sides of the palace. While two players would be able to ignore this the AI doesn't, which leads to interesting situations, like defending the gates from enemy reserves who left the palace, marched out side the walls and attacked from behind.

In relation to the mistake which is made due to some historical misunderstandings; the use of the word ‘Persian’: ‘Persian’ can correctly be used referring to the language ‘Parsi’ (now arabicized to Farsi). But in fact, it makes no sense when used referring to the people of Iran. It is not meant to make a political statement here, therefore, it is just enough to say that Iranians based on Iranian ancient texts have been called Iranian because the country has been called Iran (the land of Aryans). Persians were one of the major tribes of Aryans who were one of the founders of the country, Iran. That is why their primary settlement in Iran has been called Pars (now the arabicized version, Fars, is used).

For the record a few Iranian city names are listed:
Nishapur and Bishapur: Both have the suffix ‘shapur’ referring to the Sassanid king of kings Shapur I. The first city was destroyed in the Arab-Muslim Invasion and the second one was destroyed in the Mongol Invasion. Nishapur was arabiczied after the Arab-Muslim Invasion to Nishabur, German (after the Arab-Muslim invasion the same as many other Persian words it was arabicized to Kerman), Pariz, Sari, Rasht, Abadan, Zabol, Yazd, Behshar, Shahi, Shiraz, Kashmar, Semnan, German-shah (Kerman-shah), Sepahan (arabicized version is Isfahan), Tus (now is called Mashhad which is an Arabic name), Ashk-abad (today is called Ashgabat which means founded by Ashk - the kings of Iran during Parthian dynasty), Gorgan, Gonabad and as the other friend mentioned, Gundishpur or Nahavand.

Foremost and Indeed, the map is superb and beautiful. An excellent job has been done to create such an artwork.

In regard to the name ‘Al-Mazahm’ it can be said that a name which has a prefix ‘al’ is very likely to be Arabic. Having said that, ‘al’ is not a prefix rather it is a definite article in Arabic equivalent to ‘the’ in English. For example, ‘al-lah’ (allah) which is God in Arabic consist of ‘al’ + ‘lah’.

@Doomon15, Maybe something like Gundishapur, or Nahavand would suit it better.Remember Persian's aren't arabs.

@Scythian King
Yea didnt notice till quite later on but I choose through mid eastern names and mixed up a bit till I felt like the name sounded alright thats why I added the AL prefix but I wasnt familiar with it bieng arab only so I may change the name, dose Mazahm just by itself sound alright?
[HASH]Gilgamesh 25 May, 2016 @ 3:49pm
Why does it have an Arab name? Sassanids were Persians. Persian =/=Arabic.
