Report a translation problem
Most of the maps that are on the top of the popularity list are extremely simple and pointless. I can make one of those maps in 10 minutes, but I refuse to do that because I feel that true portal players want a challenge and I intend to give it to them with every map I make.
...and then we have most that create maps for the wrong reasons, such as fishing for compliments and looking to be popular rather as top priority than the level design itself. You and I (and a few others) are part of the other group that puts care and thought into our maps and lets the compliments and popularity come naturally rather than be forced. Those things should be earned, not demanded, by the creator.
3rd and 4th chamber creations are crap but my 1st and 2nd are a good start towards map making. I will always see my first four that way in retrospect. My technique got better as I kept creating with a fewer and fewer hiccups.
So far liked them all.
You should simply remove the cube in this puzzle.
Make the room taller. Often, the ceiling2floor speed is not enough to get to the ledge.
