The vanilla version is not going to be updated. I'm sure there's a workaround, look up the XCOM support forums. I'm sure this isn't the only one doing this.

I actually play it without WOTC. The base version is the one that isn't working. Sorry for not specifying that.

Love this mod and have used it for a long time but with the most recent update it will not show up on the launchers mod list and allow me to enable it. Any chance this will be getting an update anytime? I can't find any other mod that adds these features.

Firaxis bug, could not correct. Might require a Highlander fix, but the POI deck gets depleted for no foreseable reason.

I just completed a WOTC campaign with 104 mods including this one. It works really well in the early game. In the late game, the points of interest stop being generated. I'm not sure if that is intended or not.

It's coming to Stream later. Gollop got $2million for that deal. $2million that his tiny little company needed. And on the Epic store, they give half of the royalties away for each sake that they do on Steam. It was a pretty business decision that only stands to benefit us.

Phoenix Point is epic games garbage. I will never support them unfortunately. I still seem to have my preorder cancellation key so i might get to play for free haha.

It seems to me that maybe some newer mods have made this one superfluous. Which is fine, since it is from Vanilla days.

Strategy Tweaks (I don't remember the exact name, but the one with the heat mechanic on the strategy layer) seems to offer some additional missions and such, and Covert Infiltration looks like it could breathe a new breath of life into the strategy layer, in general.

What's amazing to me is that the modding community continues to evolve and find new and exciting things to add, even after so long. It gives me hope that this game's lifespan is not even close to its end. The only things I see that could detract from it, at this point, would be XCOM 3 or Phoenix Point.

TBH i dont even know if they knew, i never saw any constants in the game. At some point the POI generating function just stops returning fresh POIs and gives up for no reason. I guess the POI deck is hard generated before the game code we can see executes.

So, with the bug that Points of Interest eventually go away, does this mod make it happen earlier? Like, is there a finite amount of points of interest for a campaign, and once it uses that number up, they stop appearing? Or is it just based on campaign time?

Hi, I got this mod for WOTC but by late game I now have 0 points of interest and none seem to be spawning? Does it count the faction HQ's as well?

Diaable both of those rewards in the ini files and double the weight of poi_scientist and poi_engineer

I've another question, sorry to be a pest.
Raining Metal, (Comments page 4) set out to change POI rewards. I'm trying to replace Soldiers and rookies for engineers and scientists.
I was wondering about your comment regarding this.

've a question, sorry if it has been mentioned before.

*There will always be five (5) POIs active at any time, excluding the Black Market (it doesn't count it seems, good.)

Is it a case that the POI's are of a fixed deck, and once exausted then there's no more, or is it a case that the faction bases also count as POI's? If so then could they be filling up the slots?

well, honestly, good to know information here. I'd prefer spam in the beginning with less later on...i'll give this a whirl and let you know my impressions (once i finally stop modding and actually playthrough a game. lol)

The defaults are 5 & 9. I wanted more, like your picture, but I can't get any more than 4pts no matter what I put. Any suggestions? I tried 7 & 9, as well as 9 & 12.

My impression is that the POI has a fixed size, so yes reducing the number of points per spawn will make them last longer. Ive tried to check why this happens, but honestly I do not understand.

Wait, what? Less is more? You're saying starting with ~3 pts will last longer than ~8 pts.

That is correct, reducing the number of POIs per spawning will increase their length during the game. I suggest using 3 knowing all of these facts as a default.

The Deck Depletion seems to relate to the increase of missions on the right side of the GeoScape. Is that Correct? Maybe if I keep the number a bit silly, like >8, the deck will survive having ~4 active mission targets; worth a try?

This is a base game issue in XCOM2 code that cannot be fixed here. The deck depletes itself at some point.

Hi I'm having the issue that all of my points of interest have vanished and new will not spawn. I have been playing about three ingame months without any. Any suggestions what may have caused this? I have changed scanning times in my local config files btw.

I highly suggest you play LW2 Rookie. It has massive bugfixes and improved overall gameplay. It is harder however.
