This weapon is my favorite MK18 replacement but I think it needs its own suppressor as well. It seems the barrel on this weapon is bigger than normal vanilla barrels, and so the suppressors can't fully cover it, you can see the tip of the barrel with the suppressor on (I first noticed it on teammates holding the weapon). I tried all different suppressor mods available on the workshop but none could hide the barrel properly. If I knew how to remodel a suppressor I would make one with the proper length for this weapon, but unfortunately I can't.

Geometry wise, it'd be no problem, but keeping the UVs in line would be a hassle. Maybe when I have nothing else to work on I'll see about it, but the practice isn't very uncommon to begin with when it comes to game models.

As with most things, I think it's easy if you know how . But still tedious, that's all lol.

i find it a little offputting that the rails are smoothed over like tha; is it really difficult to make spaces between the rails in the 3d model?

would recommend this, it's so op with silencer and foregrip, no need for optic attachments!

You could say the same for things like scope textures and the like; I'm sure there's others who'd like to use it, so there's no reason not to put it out.

Nah, I don't think I should upload something like that to the Workshop. All I did was change one part of the texture, it was a very small change.

Alright, here [www.mediafire.com] it is! Just place it inside your custom folder and you're good to go. Don't forget to unsubscribe from this one, otherwise it will conflict. I tried to make it standalone so that it will work with the other two variants, but I couldn't, for the life of me, make it work. Guess putting it inside custom gives it a higher priority which causes the original mod to overwrite it, I don't know.

P.S. I thought of making the two arrows on the lens red too, but I decided against it in the end. I'm afraid it might look somewhat confusing and stuff.

Yeah, definitely can't find the file, and I really don't have any modding experience. I would have no idea what I was doing.

I certainly would do that, but I can't find the file in my insurgency folders anywhere, and the last time I tried something like this, it ended up not working in game for some reason. But I'll try to find the file again and give it a go.

if i were to subscribe to an iron sight mod would it replace the iron sights this mod comes with no problems? i mean they're great, but it kind of subtracts from the immersion

This is the third time I've seen that exact same comment lol.

Is it possible for you to make a version with a red dot in the front sight post as opposed to the default white one? It's really hard to tell exactly what you're aiming at in the snow and desert-y maps. Thanks either way, it's a great mod.

They come with the mod. Just subscribe to this and you'll get the SC-AR .45 along with those sights.
