i got avenger defense twice in this playthru and i fucking hate it, can i config this mod to turn it off so it never happens? also the ufo crashes my game so same thing

ah, for anyone using WOTC that may have been hoping for this to be made compatible, check out Additional Dark Events and then Permanent Dark Events respectively to accomplish the same effect :steamthumbsup:

Is this mod going to be updated to include WOTC? It'd be nice to breathe some new life into a slow late-game campaign I'm currently slogging through!

Especially in the Mid-End of games U.F.O. missions have a tendancy to be empty of enemies and computer consoles to end missions , which causes failed missions !

Is this a mod that makes it more likely to get a Avenger Defense mission? I wish there was a mod that made it so you could do that mission several times through one playthrough. That's probably the funnest mission in the whole game... Could someone create a mod like that, but each time it comes up, have a different environment or something? :D

@endersblade UFOs in LW2 are hidden missions that must be revealed through a series of actions.

In Vanilla, I used to get UFOs all the time, it was freaking awesome. In LW2 though, the LW2 Compatability list says that this is similar to what's in LW2, but I never see UFOs. Is this mod compatible with LW2, will it actually bring back the UFOs?

I miss more downed ufos, that kind of an important part of xcom for me ! Are there any mods that gives more downed ufos to gather, beside this one ?

I noticed between mid and late stages of game,that enemies have disappeared or simply not there,which creates mission failures in campains.

When I did your UFO mission i noticed that AP round did not work. For some reason also when I do researchable missions this happens. Normal mission they work just fine. Thanks

The DLC should not have broken it, but my computer had it's first "everything broke and must be reinstalled" crash and I haven't gotten around to reinstalling the XCOM 2 mod tools (which are huge incidentally). I'll see about whether everything is still working and making some improvements when I can. Hopefully soon.

I hardly have seen any UFOs, I keep only encountering one defense, and one landed ufo only.

Agree, would like the possibility of a few UFO hunts every few months. Or after the Aliens laugh the dark event UFO hunt mission, from that point we could get 1 to 2 hunts a month.

Like Jarl44, I would like more Avenger Defense missions. I am messing with the late game, and would be cool 1 defense every 3 or 4 months. Or maybe a chance to happen.

yeah i like having the defense mission so i would like it split the time with getting a downed. i think i did it not sure tho. will find out in a few tho. sweet mod tho

pigary88 I'm not 100% sure what your asking. Do you think the Downed UFO missions or the Base defense missions should be 50%? Making the Downed UFO missions 50% should be extremely straightforward, since the chance of a UFO being downed are already, in fact, 50%, and all you would need to do is delete the config file I have entitled "XcomGameData.ini" (which shouldn't mess up anything). If you mean the likelihood of being intercepted by a UFO (i.e. base defense) that's a little harder. Go into the config file "XcomGameBoard.ini" and you will see two different variables: one is how likely an base defense is (both ones triggered by a dark event or raiding the forge), and the other is how likely base defense missions are after already having one.

can i change the code myself to make it a 50/50 to get intercepted? what number would i change? i do not like raiding the downed ufo but i do love the defense and i think it should be a pure 50% chance to get it.

Well personally I'm playing what I'd like to call a ridiculous playthrough. My Soldiers are cheated to have max skills with buffed weapons and buffed equipment and on the flipside my enemies come in larger pods with a higher frequency of gatekeepers and sectopods.

I'd like to have the UFO event appear at least every other Dark Event, or as often as the Dark Event for the DOOM COUNTER to be seen. Or maybe once every 2 months.

BTW, thank you so much for your quick response. The idea for this mod has been exactly what I've been looking for :D

Jarl44 I would be happy to make that for you (and everyone else, of course), and indeed I considered including it in this mod; but even before I think about how balanced that might be the issue is I haven't yet figured out how to do that. I'll look into it and get back to you as soon as I can. In the mean time, tell me, how often would you want them to be? Just as a starting point for me to think about, I mean.
